Originally published on 4 September 1956, it’s been 69 years since the final installment of Narnia was published. The Last Battle follows the final days of Narnia wherein the land is in peril, and the great lion Aslan is nowhere to be found. The last king of Narnia was forced to call upon the “7 friends of Narnia” for help to restore peace and save their beloved land. With the forces of evil conquering the land, only one can restore Narnia but it will not be in the way they all hoped for.
This final installment of the chronicles received a Carnegie Medal and it is the darkest book in the series. It is also one of the book that was never adapted to a live action nor theater release. It is however slated to be adapted by NETFLIX in the years to come.
