In a stunning cinematic montage we’ve created for you below you can visualize what the action packed sequence from the middle of the film might look like using leaked footage that has been flooding social media. This clip doesn’t use AI, but enhances the cinematic quality with dramatic dialogue from the fabulous Focus on the Family Radio Theatre, sensational sound effects, and an all new original orchestral score. Stick around till the end to see behind the scenes from the perspective of astonished neighbors watching Narnia unfold in their very own backyard. The Chase for Jadis Cinematic Montage with Behind the Scenes:

Let us know what you think of the new soundtrack which was composed specially for this video. If you are looking for more great Narnia inspired music check out “Wild Love” by The Rend Collective.

Digory’s Long Walk Home From Bank Station:

As our behind the scenes video showed the production set up a temporary wall and billboard to hide modern business near London’s Bank Station Royal Exchange. You can see how this area normally looks from the map below and compare that to the video footage.

Narnia’s Lamp-Post Revealed:

(Parker, 2025)

Our investigation exploring the canals and waterways of Manchester identified the location of the bridge that Digory crosses in the location filming. Further research from Google Street View imagery CONFIRMS the sighting of this Narnia lamp-post  was added during the film production which isn’t normally at this location. Take a look at the embedded imagery and video below to decide for yourself if this really is the Narnia lamp-post which Jadis damages in her rampage across London. We’d love to hear your theories and speculation in the comments below.

Residential Alley Location:

Our research identified this partially obscured street marker in one of the TikTok videos a resident posted documenting the filming.

Farcliffe Ally Bradford
(Amhed, 2025)

Manual investigation by checking every similarly named street in Bradford revealed that the unnamed alley shown in the videos as a filming location is nearby Farcliffe Road in Bradford. It is worth noting that Farcliffe Road intersects nearby Toller Lane which is a potential easter egg reference to J.R.R. Tolkein’s nickname Tollers. As Americans watching the behind the scenes videos it is important to understand that the British English phrase “back garden” refers not directly to the place where flowers are grown, but to what we would call a backyard. This alley can be further explored from Google Street View imagery and videos embedded here.

Digory in WWII Ruins:

The first segment of the video include’s Digory’s long walk home through a residential alley. Somewhere along the journey Digory passes through a ruined empty lot that bears the scars of WWII devastation. Unless you have been following the production closely you might be wondering how it is possible that Narnia: The Magician’s Nephew takes place AFTER the events of The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe when this story is meant to be Narnia’s origin story. It turns out that the new NETFLIX movie series is a reboot with a new timeline that draws inspiration to stay true to the spirit of the book’s opening line “when your grandfather was a child”. Moving the story to the cold wet summer of August 5, 1955 has the potential of refreshing the story with a level of nostalgic relateability not experienced since the original readers experienced the book when it was first published in 1955.

There are clear issues that this new timeline will bring about many changes, but one of the most profound opportunities the thematic shift which deepens the emotional impact of the deplorable word. In the book Aslan warns Digory and Polly in a way that many readers have interpreted a reference to nuclear war:

“Not yet. But you are growing more like it. It is not certain that some wicked one of your race will not find out a secret as evil as the Deplorable Word and use it to destroy all living things. And soon, very soon, before you are an old man and an old woman, great nations in your world will be ruled by tyrants who care no more for joy and justice and mercy than the Empress Jadis. Let your world beware. That is the warning.”

(Lewis, 1955)

The new post war setting allows Digory and Polly to view Charn from the horrors of a recent world war that ended with the nuclear annihilation of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The location of the ruined lot that Digory walks through is found in Bradford, England. The city of Bradford is a popular destination for filming WWII period films because of its Little Germany district and has recently been the filming location for NETFLIX Six Tripple Eight historical drama by Tyler Perry about the United States all black female military regiment in World War II.

The ruined buildings that Digory walks though were built on an empty lot at the corner of Peckover Street and Currer Street which you can explore from the Google Street View and original source video clips here.

Magic Wand of Jadis:

At one location at the intersection of Currer St. and Cater street a leaked videos and articles gave us our best up close look at the stunt doubles for Jadis and Digory riding strawberry.

(Moore, 2025)
(Meek, 2025)

The key takeaway from these photos is that Jadis keeps a magic wand in her boot. This is a change from the book because in The Magician’s Nephew there is no mention of a magic wand (Lewis, 1955). The addition of a wand is not directly inconsistent with the character because in The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe the White Witch’s wand is mentioned 13 times in the book (Lewis, 1950). Jadis having a magic wand in The Magician’s Nephew could be considered book canon because the latest cover illustration was updated to show Jadis holding a wand, but the wand style and costume style both differ drastically from what is seen from the location filming.

(Lewis, 1955)

Watch the clips and explore this location below to decide for yourself about the addition of the wand of Jadis to the movie Narnia: The Magician’s Nephew.

Robotic Horse Used for Stunt Filming:

Some behind the scenes footage shared by @adeoladips on TikTok revealed a robotic horse was used for stunt filming in addition to regular horses. This location at the corner of Cater Street and Burnett Street in Bradford and video can be explored below.

Jadis Blasts Police Constables:

The inclusion of Jadis having a wand isn’t the biggest change from the book, it is the fact that in this movie she wields magic to blast a police constable. In the book Jadis is unable to use magic while in our world:

“Instantly, as it seemed to Uncle Andrew, the Queen towered up to an even greater height. Fire flashed from her eyes: she flung out her arm with the same gesture and the same horrible-sounding words that had lately turned the palace-gates of Charn to dust. But nothing happened except that Aunt Letty, thinking that those horrible words were meant to be ordinary English, said:

‘I thought as much. The woman is drunk. Drunk! She can’t even speak clearly.'”

(Lewis, 1955)

The inability to use magic isn’t the result of clumsy oversight because Jadis forgot her wand in the hall of images on Charn, but a fundamental difference between our worlds. While the book doesn’t directly explain why Jadis is unable to use magic in our world a possible explanation is revealed by her return to use of magic in Narnia. The answer might be as simple as accepting that our world is a world without magic, but other worlds have magic. Although in the book Digory never sees Jadis regain her magic abilities in our world he dreads what might happen if she did:

“At the present moment, as far as he could see, she might be blasting Buckingham Palace or the Houses of Parliament: and it was almost certain that quite a number of policemen had by now been reduced to little heaps of dust.”

(Lewis, 1955)

The scene filmed in Bradford appears to show Jadis using the wand from her boot to blast a policemen into dust. Perhaps in this film version we will see Jadis doing the things that Digory feared she would do or maybe this is a montage of Digory’s fears playing out in his imagination. The book’s reference to Jadis blasting Buckingham Palace or the Houses of Parliament could easily be substituted for The Tower of London.

This scene was shot in Bradford on Cater Street near the archway to the old quaker school and can be explored from the map and video clips below.

Jadis Rains on a Royal Parade:

A video set report from Narnia Web shows Jadis crashing a royal parade in London’s St James’s Park.

Tower of London Location:

Our manual investigation of the area surrounding the Tower of London matched location filming footage with this Google Street View imagery that can be explored along with the original source videos below.
