When I first watched the BBC version of The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, I had already seen the animated version of the story. I was very young, and TV screens weren’t particularly clear. So when I saw the costumes for Mr. and Mrs. Beaver, and in particular their gloved hands, the look of them freaked me out. I was a little kid at the time, so it was understandable.
