Narnia slipped back into public view that week with fresh filming photos from Greenwich and Netflix’s first clear public 2026 release window.
What’s on Netflix reported that January 11 filming in Greenwich showed more of the London chase material, with Jadis once again moving through streets dressed as 1950s London.
Netflix finally said something official
Just as importantly, Netflix finally put the film on its public 2026 slate. On its official release page, the streamer said audiences would see Narnia in IMAX in November 2026 ahead of its Netflix debut in December 2026.
That may be brief, but after so much silence, it was still good to see something official. Around the same time, Netflix also added a public title page for the film with the simple notice, “Coming in 2026.”
One more detail people noticed
In some international Netflix territories, the title reportedly appeared in forms that translate directly to The Magician’s Nephew. That still is not a formal announcement of the starting book, but it does line up with what we’ve been hearing for a while.
So between the Greenwich photos and Netflix finally putting a public release window on the film, January gave us one of the clearest signs yet that Gerwig’s Narnia was moving ahead.
