In 1992, with not much English in his dictionary, he moved to Brisbane. His passion for acting was held back because of language problems, so he ended up continuing life in restaurants escaping them occasionally when taking on extra roles in films and commercials. In 2001 he had opportunities to star in television cooking shows and decided to follow a life long dream, becoming an actor. He graduated at the Actor’s Conservatory in Brisbane and never looked back.
His passion for acting and TV, let into the production of a pilot for a documentary series with his wife Amanda and directing a popular musical.
Mirko has been working on feature films, short films, Television series, music Videos, musicals and Theatre. Late 2009 he landed his first Hollywood Feature with a role on “Narnia – The Voyage of the Dawn Treader” then he was chosen for a role that marks his first Feature film in his home land – Italy, this latest shooting mid 2010. Early 2010, Mirko was Casted in a role on the popular channel 7 series “Home & Away”.
Mirko is also writer, co producer & co-star of “The Bachelors Guide” (www.thebachelorsguide.tv) a comedy series now in preproduction. This latest project represent the ensemble of all acting, directing and producing experiences to date. Joining forces with His friend/colleague Nicholas Cooper & friend/ex employer John Evans he found the perfect team for the production of this exhilarating, entertaining and very… informative, new comedy Series.
