The much anticipated release of the second Narnia film, Prince Caspian, is just around the corner. While generations of believers have grown up loving the magical world of Narnia, many of the deeper spiritual overtones in the story can escape the casual observer.

AintItCoolNews was invited to London to view 45 minutes of Prince Caspian footage. They’ve written a particularly long review of the footage. But if you want to read it, be aware that they have some profanity. There are also MANY SPOILERS, so if you don’t want to be spoiled, or to put up with the profanity, then stay away. That being said, here are some portions of the review.

Following the success of their debut range from The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch And The Wardrobe, Weta have once again teamed up with Disney Consumer Products and the talented technicians who worked on the highly anticipated sequel releasing this summer, The Chronicles Of Narnia: Prince Caspian, to create a line of statues and miniatures based on the film.

Free of cost and open to the general public, Narnia Night is an exciting exploration of Disney’s newest installment to its films based on C.S. Lewis’s The Chronicles of Narnia, Prince Caspian.

The Richard and Julia Wilke Institute for Discipleship and BeADisciple.com announce an online workshop entitled “Crowning ‘Prince Caspian’: An Evangelism and Discipleship Growth Opportunity,” geared towards clergy and lay people in the Church. The Disney film version of the second installment of C.S. Lewis’ classic “The Chronicles of Narnia” premieres as a summer blockbuster in mid-May 2008.

Telmarines, talking mice, and Minotaurs … it’s a wrap for the second installation in C.S. Lewis’ Narnia series, according to director/producer/co-writer Andrew Adamson. “We’re in the U.K. tying up the last month of post-production… polishing the sound, music, and special effects. I’m extremely happy with what we’ve created. It’s like a painful birthing process which you forget soon afterwards.” Considering “The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe” took four and a half years to produce, it must have seemed like the two years working on “Prince Caspian” whizzed by at breakneck speed.
