The Last Battle (Untitled)
Style: Inspired Partly by The Last Battle/ Partly by “Into the West” by Annie Lennox and Howard Shore
Poem: To the end we reach
Yet clinging to our first Love
Our hands reaching in the air,
Our feet on the solid Rock
Hope for the End,
Thanksgiving for the beginning
Tears for former joy
Laughter for former sorrows
The Lion is bigger than before
For he has helped us grow.
The dream is ended
This is the morning!
It’s the end of the snow,
And the end of our road.
Farewell to the Shadowlands,
Come further up, further in!
The term is over,
The holidays have begun!
“I am home!” we shall cry.
Laugher mixed with tears
A burst of joy, and a sigh.
At the end of the world
Past islands of mystery
To the eternal home
In His land beyond the sea
The utter East
The dream is ended
This is the morning!
Farewell to the Shadowlands,
Come further up, further in!
The door is opened in the sky
As night falls,
Over our old home,
Come further up
And further in!
