Yes, inky, the doctor did intend to replicate himself and you will see why later on. Basically he's studying something. You'll see.
Oh my gosh! The ending of those episodes was crazy!!! But yes, I see what the Dr was doing now.

**Spoilers -- The Rebel Flesh/Almost People**
I wondered all along why Amy was so rude to the Flesh Doctor, he was just like the Doctor, and had all his memories ... And there is no way she could have told them apart all the time by their shoes anyway! I didn't think it was like her to be so mean to the replica ... Anyway -- the end of that episode, with Amy pregnant/not pregnant explained finally! What on earth is going on? And how did they get a replica AMY?! Very freaky! Can't wait to see what's next.

Inky the Doctor's Wife is one of my alltime fav episodes! It was so beautiful! I loved how idris reminded him of his past and especially her "Who says I will give you back" is classical! You are almost there girl!
Yes! That was a tremendous episode, and yes, I am closing in. :) I really love this program, can't believe it took me so long to start watching! I have been seeing the commercials/news about the anniversary special. I wish I would be caught up enough to watch it when it airs -- I love all the modern doctors do much!!!

I am not really sure how they got a replica Amy, but they did, and for a very sinister purpose. I will say no more.

I haven't seen any commercials for the anniversary yet, and I haven't seen anything about 10th and Rose. But I will find time to check all that out soon.

I've so far seen seasons 5 and 6 because those are the ones we have on our local PBS station, but we checked out season 4 from the library and have started watching that. My family and I all agreed that we like season 4 better, just because Donna is hilarious!

We just finished "The Unicorn and the Wasp" last night and I loved the part where the Doctor's drink had cyanide in it, but then he just sat there and said "something's inhibiting my enzymes" because apparently that is a completely normal response to being poisoned. I loved when he did charades with Donna to try to get the necessary ingredients to detox, and I can't help but wonder how an alien species developed a detox method that requires ginger beer. :D I also found it funny that salt was too salty, that Donna apparently thinks "Harvey Wallbanger" is one word, and that the Doctor was just dumping ginger beer over his head more than drinking it!

About the 50th anniversary, I don't know, but I would assume that it would be aired in November around the actual 50th anniversary of the first broadcast, which was on Nov. 23, 1963 (the only reason I know that date is that it is the day after C.S. Lewis--and John F. Kennedy--died).

Oh I loved Donna! She was a great companion, and Catherine Tate is a great actress! That Unicorn was an hilarious episode! I love Agatha Christie, so it was great picking out all those references ... Lovely. Yes Season Four has some great moments! :)

OK, I saw the next episode after Almost People last night where it was revealed

**Spoilers **

That River Song is Rory and Amy's baby Melody Pond?! What the?! We know a lot of stuff about River, including that the Doctor taught her to drive the Tardis and other points of their history -- but that makes it seem as if the Doctor raised her. Don't Amy and Rory get her back while she is still a baby? And is that her inside the astronaut suit? This is not a world of confusion! And the baby is part time lord? What the?

**End Spoilers**

I loved in that episode, when Amy was telling her baby about the man who would come to get her, who was hundreds of years old and the last of his kind, her father the Last Centurion. That was so sweet! But now in the next episode the Doctor is off with Amy and Rory's friend Melody so he is not searching for the baby!

*SPOILERS*
Last episode was awesome! I loved Clara in it and how she and the Doctor helped defeating "grandpa". The little girl and the singing reminded me of both Fires of Pompeii and Gridlock. Clara and the Doctor have great and natural chemistry together and..... THE DOCTOR FINALLY MENTIONED HIS GRANDDAUGHTER!!

OK, now I have seen a couple more episodes, getting close to the end of the 2011 season. I saw ...

Let's Kill Hitler
Night Terrors
The Girl Who Waited
The God Complex

They were all very good

**Spoilers **

I loved that little boy in Night Terrors! And the fact that he was a Tenza, but his dad loved him anyway -- and that fixed everything ... beautiful. That one was funny, too, with the Doctor showing up at their door as if they had requested his visit. Very cute.

The only thing that bothers me in Night Terrors and God Complex both is that Amy and Rory don't seem concerned about their daughter. Real parents would be going nuts trying to make the Doctor take them to find her somehow. They just seem assured that it will all be fine when they know they're daughter is being raised by evil people who brainwash her to kill the Doctor and that she does so, apparently as a small child? It doesn't ring true that they would be able to live somewhat normal lives as if they don't have a child. :(

The God Complex was very good but I hated that The Muslim girl died, I forgot her name already. Tina? Rita? Anyway, I liked her so much! When she and Amy ducked into that room where the clown was and she asked Amy if the clown was for her, and she said no, she waves at the clown "How's it going?" And Amy snaps at her, "Don't talk to the clown!" That made me laugh out loud. That girl was just so brave and smart and funny. I hated her dying! But I loved the minotaur and his high-tech labyrinth prison! I loved that he was ready to die, and after he talked about how an ancient creature bathed in the blood of innocents could finally rest ... and the Doctor wished him good sleep, he wished the Doctor the same, as if he had been talking about the Doctor, too. That was nicely done. And the Doctor's convincing Amy that he's just a madman in a blue box ... that was nice, too.

** End Spoilers **

I just read that Neil Gaiman wrote The Doctors Wife, which is a lovely episode, and I certainly can see his hand in it now that I know it! He writes some cool stuff; my favorite of his novels is "NeverWhere." It is creepy fun and great if you're at al familiar with London.

OK, I am catching up! I think I read there's a new companion in the current iteration. What becomes of the Ponds? I really like them.

Inky as you've seen Amy trusts the Doctor blindly and she trully believes they will get her baby back. Everything will soon be revealed. The season finale is coming up and then you can go to the next season. You will love the season finale because it is good :)

I have loved the second half of series seven so far. ^.^ Clara is a super fun character, and I especially loved the backstory given in this past episode.

I liked the story for The Rings of Akhaten and the whole episode was good but the one after, Cold War, wasn't as good. The character of Clara could have been developed more. They kind of went backward instead of going forward from the previous episode. I did like the return of the Ice Warriors from Mars!

OK, I finished Season 6 with "The Wedding of River Song." Wow! What an amazing and bizarre twist on things!

**Season Six Spoilers**

I loved the loopy time-line that happened when River refused to kill the Doctor; I loved that she refused to kill the Doctor! I loved Winston Churchill as the Roman Emperor and that he actually listened to and believed the Doctor, and I loved that Amy remembered the right timeline and was fighting to restore it even though she didn't know for sure what it was. I loved that the Doctor tried to set Amy and Rory up, in that time-line, when they didn't remember each other. And then when Amy finally did remember Rory and commanded him to go out for coffee with her sometime, he was all, "All right mum..." That whole little story line was cute.

And then the way the Doctor managed not to be killed was fabulous! He was able to die and not die ... and marry River! It was a great season finale.

Also the episode that led into it, with Craig and his baby Alfie, was adorable. Loved it!

**End Spoilers**

I've started watching Season 7 now -- but it's not free for Amazon Prime! I paid $6 for the first 5 episodes, I think ... I am catching up! :)

Inky you are really catching up! If this continues you are able to watch the new episodes very soon since we are still in Season 7! Yeah that twist was awesome. And River could never hurt the Doctor. She gave him all her regenerations to save him. Oh you're going to love Season 7 too. It has some very good episodes. Especially episode 5 ;)

OK, I finished Season 6

Did all that happened in that last episode? LOL! I don't remember much of it because by that time I was so sick of all that River Song this, River Song that and I just wanted it to be over! Let us know what you thought of the first episode of season 7!

All 5!

Oh wow, not I have watched all 5 of the season 7 episodes that I bought from Amazon for $6. They were wonderful!

BK, I love River Song. I think that's a great story line. :)

OK, let me see ... **Season 7, episodes 1-5 Spoilers**

Asylum of the Daleks -- I hated that Rory and Amy were feuding in this one! And I, like Rory, felt that he had always loved her better than she loved him. It was so poignant to learn her side of the story, and sweet that the Dr worked so hard to get them back together. I didn't know Daleks could turn a human into a Dalek? But I loved that Oswin defeated them! "I am Oswin Oswald, and I am human, and today I defeated the Daleks!" or whatever she said. That was beautiful, I loved that one and loved the ending.

Dinosaurs on a Spaceship -- loved it! I loved the dinosaurs, and I loved that The Doctor had a gang that included Nefertiti and some big game hunter, what a riot! Oh, and Rory's dad! Was that the same actor as Ron's dad in the HP films? I loved him! And I loved that he and Rory were able to pilot the ship and did such a good job. What was sad was that all the Silurians (sp?) were dead! That was horrible, that pirate was horrible. Still I was surprised the Doctor let him die.

Town Called Mercy -- it was sweet ... but I don't remember a whole lot about it other than I liked the ending, that the town kept the gunslinger as their sheriff.

The Power of Three -- this was quite interesting because it showed Amy and Rory's home and life when they're not with the Doctor. I liked it that Rory was actually working as a nurse again, helping people -- and that he and his dad were once again on the case together. Sort of -- his dad watched that cube for a whole year because the Doctor said to! Then it was nice that Amy and Rory decided to stick with the Doctor ... until ...

Angels Take Manhattan -- this was a fabulous episode and a great swan song (I suppose!) for Rory and Amy! The Statue of Liberty, a weeping angel! That was hilarious. I loved the end, when Rory had been sent back in time after all they did to fix things, and Amy was crying and asking if her best chance to be with him was to blink and let the angel zap her. The Doctor kept telling her no, no, but River was kissing her hand, kissing her goodbye, and telling her yes ... Very moving! And then the last page of the book, with Amy's message to the Doctor, that she and Rory were together and were happy. That was lovely.

**End Spoilers**

All these episodes so far have been really good. But Amazon doesn't show you the specials as part of the season, so I realized I missed a Matt Smith special called -- of all things -- The Doctor, the Widow and the Wardrobe! I can watch that one for free, and I intend to, and then also The Snowmen, which I didn't see yet. Then hopefully some of the newer episodes will be available for my Kindle, without paying for them.

YES! I am almost caught up to the latest episodes. Yay!

You do need to watch The Snowmen before going on to the next episode of series 7. There's a reason why that special was placed in the middle of the series.

OK, I will watch it on Kindle -- I forget if it is one of the ones that is free for Amazon Prime members, but I think maybe there's a charge to see it ... :( I so badly want to get caught up with the ones that are airing week by week now!

If you can watch The Snowmen today, tomorrow you can make it a marathon of the 3 past episodes and catch up really easy. The episodes after The Snowmen are:

The Bells of Saint John (Aired March 30)
The Rings of Akhaten (April 6)
Cold War (April 13)
Hide (April 20)
Journey To The Centre of The TARDIS (April 27)
The Crimson Horror (May 4)

I am personally looking forward to Episode 10 (Centre of the TARDIS) because according to the description, Clara gets lost inside the TARDIS and the Doctor has to find her before it explodes. There will probably be a lot of revelations as to what is really inside of the TARDIS! We shall see.

Oh, and this makes only eleven episodes but I didn't find reference to more for this series. There's usually 13 episodes so I'll have to look more thoroughly later.

Inky you caught up fast!! I remember when you just started!! Congrats! Angels take Manhattan was one of the best of this season so far. Tomorrow a new episode of Doctor Who and I can't wait :)

Sorry for double posting buuuut...

I SAW THE LATEST EPISODE TONIGHT!!

*spoiler*

It was freaky, scary but also cool! There were some Ten references like Clara saying GHOSTBUSTERS! The famous space suit of Ten returned. And the Doctor saying: EYE OF HARMONY! That is sooo classical Who!!
Can't wait for next week though!!!

I loved Hide! It was awesome!

SPOILERS!!!!

I like how it started off as a freaky ghost hunting story, then ended as a love story. :D I like happy endings sometimes.
