I really liked last nights episode of The Nightmare in Silver. And I was really glad that Warwick Davis was in it! His performance was really good, as usual.

Yes a good episode glad to see the metal men back as they are the Dr's arch enemy along with the Daleks and the potato heads. Warwick Davis has been in loads of film and tv he will prob be rem as Willow, but was also in the BBC drama Narnia and the film PC and also Wicket from Star Wars he was the Ewok. :)

I really liked seeing Matt Smith argue with himself and be two characters at once. I was able to keep straight which was talking most of the time, which says a lot for his acting ability! It was just really cool to see him play chess with himself, try to stop his own hand, and things like that. I think my favorite part was when the Cyber-Doctor was talking and the real Doctor wrote "hit me!" on a pad of paper to get him to stop! It was just funny that one part of him didn't even notice what the other was doing, and, again, says a lot for Matt Smith's acting!

I have the episode on Tivo and am about only 15 minutes into it! I was trying to watch it Sunday night when I got home from a trip out of town but my husband was being a pill and hasn't let up so I haven't seen it yet! I did see Warwick, so excited!!!! Can't wait to see the rest ...

I LOVED it!
*Spoilers*
Also when he said Allons-y :D That was so super funny to hear :D I am more curious now about next week's episode the season finale. It will reveal a lot of things or maybe???
Laurel I agree with you. His acting skills are so great. He grows more and more and more

YES! I saw the rest of the program, and I agree: Matt's acting skills were amazing in his

dual role as himself and as the cyber-planner in his head. Really fantastic!

So looking forward to the next episode! Can't believe I am all caught up! :) Now I think no one else is behind, so we don't have to point out spoilers anymore ... unless, is there anyone else still trying to catch up?

I love Doctor Who. I am so glad you all pointed him out to me ... :)

Thanks for the link! I hadn't seen the prequel. According to Tardis Data Core:
Trenzalore was a place that, according to Dorium Maldovar, the Doctor would visit at some point in his travels, which would coincide with 'the Fall of the Eleventh'. Maldovar also told the Doctor that at this time and place 'no living creature can speak falsely or fail to answer.' Here, the First Question in the universe would be asked.

The Silence were determined that the Doctor never reach Trenzalore, so that the question would never be answered. It was a creed of the Silence that 'Silence will fall when the Question is asked', or as Maldovar translated it, 'Silence must fall'. (TV: The Wedding of River Song)

Can't wait for this episode! :)

Ah! so that`s it. Clara is the one who asks the first question?
Could it be that another regeneration is about to happen?
I`m also wondering if, since were now at the series 50`th aniversary we might get a Doctor meeting himself story with a guest appearance of David Tennant and Billy Piper.
They did this after all during previous aniversaries, most notably with the `Five Doctors` episodes.

This is going to be the next special. I think around Christmas.

OMG THAT EPISODE WAS BRILLIANT!!! I was so excited for it the whole week and it was just great!

*spoilers*

Now we finally know the answer to the Clara mystery. And I was so thrilled to see John Hurt as the Doctor! I have been waiting for the Valeyard's return ever since I finished the Sixth Doctor series. This is going to be great!!!! OMG why does it have to stop NOW?!

I have the Name of the Doctor on Tivo but I didn't start watching yet. Can't wait! But I am so sad this is the last show of the season! I do hope there will be a special at Christmas!

I think there will be Inky. They already finished filming that special with Smith/Tennant/Piper/Coleman/Hurt. I think this will be either the first episode of Season 8 or the Christmas special. I CAN'T WAIT!! Now I continued watching the classical Who. I'm almost done with the Third Doctor so I only have Doctors 1 and 2 left to watch. And Matt will do season 8 as well. he is taking it year by year. I'm glad he decided to do another year because he is really growing as the Doctor :D

*spoilers*

I really liked having River back in the episode. It was really sad and cute when he was, in a way, letting her go again. They is teh cutes...

*Spoilers for The Name of the Doctor below*

Okay, so, is anyone else confused as to why there's another Doctor who ISN'T the Doctor, but he is? I, still being a relatively new fan, don't quite understand. I'm guessing it has something to do with the Time War, and how the Doctor killed all the other Time Lords (as seen in The End of Time). I know that this isn't what the Doctor would do, so my guess is that he sort of "disowned" John Hurt's Doctor, saying that he wasn't truly "The Doctor". Would anyone else care to shed some light on the situation?

It's too early to speculate on what's going to happen when the show resumes. There are at least two theories floating around in the web and both are very plausible. I won't say much more until later when I'm sure everyone has had time to catch up.

I really thought I was done with all that River nonsense but nooooooo

There I agree BK. I really thought River was a bit out of place in this episode like she was not needed but they had to bring her back in for some odd reason.

Well,

I thought River was important. Since she knew the Doctor's name, she could be the one who said it instead of the Doctor, and, since no one could hear her, it's still a secret for everyone else. However, I'm wondering if Clara now knows his name again, since she remembered the other things she learned in Journey to the Centre of the TARDIS.

Well if she dosn`t then its a good bet she does know by the end of the story.
By then its probable that she knows far more about The Doctor than even River ever did.
One of her incarnations even had to be Galifreyan as she was the one that told the first Doctor and Susan what Tardis to take!

I tried to reply yesterday but got a database error. Anyway:

Nowhere is said Clara is a Gallifreyan. Neither has it been shown her as a timelady. And because she has been born a couple of times and not regenerated I don't think this is the case. That evil guy went into the Doctor's own timeline to undo everything the Doctor did. Clara went inside as well to save the Doctor's life. Because of this she was shattered into million pieces and followed the Doctor's line everywhere she went. Making sure he would make the right choice so all evil done to him would be undone again and everything would go as it should go. And because of this Clara was not being able to come back so the Doctor had to go into his own timeline to save her what he did.

Wow, I finally got to see The Name of the Doctor! It was excellent and explained a lot.

I am sorry, but I cannot read the spoilers in green here, and reading the white gives me a headache, so I haven't been able to read much of the previous discussion!

So ... ** SPOILER ALERT IN black text, read at your own risk **

Who is John Hurt (the Doctor) and what did he do that the (Matt Smith) Doctor is so down on him? Matt Smith is still the actor portraying the Doctor next season, but now we have another Doctor? So confusing! But I was just so happy that they saved Mme Vastra and crew ... and now, Clara is the impossible girl because she plunged herself into the Doctor's time-line to save him -- but it's a conundrum because she already had saved him a couple times ... it's so hard to imagine what can happen if you can pop in and out of time like that.

OK, so the Great Intelligence/Evil Guy said that the Doctor had a great secret -- what was it? Was it whatever John Hurt did? And so we still don't know it? Or did I miss what it was? Was it just his name?

And ... hah, BK, River Song is back! For no apparent reason. Well, really, for a reason. And I kind of liked her little exchange with the Doctor when he assured her that she is always with him. It was sweet.

** END SPOILERS **

Is there anyone else who hasn't seen the episode yet, but plans to? If not, we can continue in black and white rather than green and white letters ... Thanks! Can't wait for more Doctor Who!!!
