I don't mean to offend, but the reasons you list behind your favorite character are because he's of high blood, has grey eyes, has 700 tough men under his command who also have grey eyes, and because men looked to him in an "hour of wrath." ...Aren't there any better reasons why, like his character?

That's fine. He's still my favorite, unworthy though he is. I think I like him better than Aragorn and Faramir and the rest of the regular gang. He would have made a good King of Gondor if the line of Isildur had been broken completely.

You have every right to like your character for whatever reasons ;) After all he IS your favorite so this must mean enough :D My favorite character besides Sam is definitely Gil-Galad. There is a part about him in the Silmarillion but it's not big but big enough for me to add him to my favorites

I know who that is, and I don't even have to look in the poll results to find out...

*looks at poll results*

Oh! I was wrong. Nvm.

I think I know why... because you're EVIL! No, jk. ;) I actually agree, he's pretty interesting. Even his turn to the good side just before he was... well, I dunno. If you go by the movies it was Legolas' arrow. By the books I think it was one of the hobbits or Saruman with his knife (not sure, haven't read 'em for a while). But yeah, his character's so complex, and you can sense he doesn't really enjoy his job. ;)

It was a hobbit arrow after he stabbed Saruman with his knife and started to run away. Actually, it was several hobbit arrows.

I gotta' love Pippin! Ever since the first movie, he's been my favorite. He lightens up the grim mood, but he also has this beautiful loyalty with Merry that should resonate in every friendship. He's innocent of the evil all around him through most of the movies, giving him a cheerful humor that I love. It reminds me of the Bible verse in Proverbs---we don't have to be solemn, always-stern advocates for Christ...we can be like Pippin was later on, when he knew the sin in Middle Earth, but chose to brighten the world anyway.
"A cheerful look brings joy to the heart..."---Proverbs 15:30

Pippin was my first favorite ever. I even named myself after him on many sites I joined :D All Pippin related screennames

From the moment I read the books I always loved Sam the most. After watching the movies I loved Pippin for a long time but mainly because of a crush. But the crush is long time gone now and I still like Sam the most together with Gil-Galad and the Witch-King. My favorite men is Aragorn followed by Faramir. Favorite hobbit is Sam and favorite elf GG of course

Well i guess i like almost everybody, but my favorites are Legolas,Aragorn,Gaandalf and Gimli.Legolas goes in for 1st place.
Legolas is "cool", he never really loses his head(except for some occasions) and he is handsome:)(i like long hair LOL). Moreover, he is skilled with a bow and arrow, which is awesome! He's honest and loyal to Aragorn. If you need more proof, look at my banner.:p
Aragorn:He's a good leader and is someone i would trust. He's very loyal(unlike snivelling Gollum :p)
Gandalf:When i first heard of him(from my dad,when i was eight)i liked him.Like GrayCloak
said,Gandalf is pure good, but in a diffrent way.
Gimli:In my opinion, he's sort of a comic-relief.There's something about when you read about/see a tiny, furious Dwarf cannonball into a pack of ferocious Uruk-hai that makes me laugh.
