Favorite LotR Character?

Which, of these, is your favorite?

WK: That's because your wife stabbed me
Faramir: Like this??? *Stabs WK in face*

Well... i don't know :p

Books: Faramir is my favorite (and no, i have NO crush on him, though marrying a man like him is not bad), but he's so smart, so just and so good, ultimately. So yes, he's my favorite.

That doesn't mean i don't like others either. I think Tolkien did such a good job in giving all the characters a history, a personality, which makes almost all of them likable in a way. Boromir, for instance, i appreciate so much more in the books than in the movie. It gives him more depth.

And i really really like Elrond too...

I agree the books make everyone likable even characters like Grima and Denethor who are positively unlikable in the films. I love how Tolkien creates his characters and unravels the complex history of thier lives. I agree also about Boromir in the books, I loved him like brother and I even wept at his death. As for Faramir he was one of my favorites in the books, second to Aragorn in line of Men. However this was not so in the movies, they almost competely ruined his character or rather his quality of character.

To join him on the Mordor date
So Elrond was taken by surprise
And thrown in jail by his Mordor allies
So tell me now who is the true king
No longer Elrond about whom we refused to sing

An Elven fued of mythic preportions! Lol JK. I think Gil Galad and Elrond are both exellent kings.. but nothing can compare to fairest Queen Galadriel! :D
 
Galadriel just used christmas lights to look more impressive :D She accidentally plugged the wrong plug while she talked to Frodo. That's why she turned so dark :D No powers...only a bit too much electricity :D
 
Yes it was :D Some elves do everything to make themselves look bigger but they better not play with electricity. This makes me wonder....what do you think Sauron used to turn into an eye? I doubt if it's real fire :D
