"Yeah but it's all your acheivements from your life. Thats not boring at all"

Jen smiled. She found a page where she was stuffing her face with cake. It was her fourth birthday party. Her brothers were standing around her smiling. She smiled when she saw the picture; everyone looked so young...

Wilson Kramer was not one of the caricatured, stupidly blustering military fathers who appear in movies written by screenwriters who have no clue at all about the armed forces. He did sternly teach his ten-year-old son Quinn to distinguish right from wrong, and urged him to better himself both physically and mentally; but he did NOT bully the child, nor demand impossible excellence in achievement. Quinn had given Escrima a try, but hadn't liked it; so Wilson had not forced him to continue. Quinn had, however, shown promise as a wrestler and swimmer. Also as a clarinet player.

After being visited by Brendan, Lieutenant-turned-Deputy Kramer took his boy out for lunch at the town's one authentic Mexican restaurant. While they were there, Quinn took to asking questions, as he had been doing more and more lately, about the reasons why his mother had left them for another man.

He welcomed the respite when a message came from Alipang--presenting him with a license number to check on, much as Brendan had presented him with one earlier today.

When he was asked by those inside the Pansit why he had dashed outside, Alipang said:

"You know how they tell citizens to 'be the eyes and ears,' so that we won't notice when our hands and feet are hogtied? I was just being the eyes. A man staring in here looked suspicious to me, so I snapped his license plate and sent the number to Mr. Kramer to trace." He deliberately did not mention that he had noticed Jason reacting to the creep's presence; but his eyes told Jason, Yes, I saw you reacting to him.

Update Time!

WHAT WE SEE IN THE FREEZE-FRAME:

At this moment in game-time, it is noon-ish on Saturday, and Redemption Free Church is holding its lunch meeting for volunteers who will help run children's events at the city picnic on Monday (Labor Day of 2008). Jason Katon has refused a gang "invitation" for the sake of this meeting, and may get in trouble for that. But Alipang has gotten identifying information on the gang member who was pressuring Jason.

Brendan, meanwhile, is with Jennifer, and Chilena with Dan. Chilena is agitated because her birth parents (who gave her up for adoption almost 14 years ago) have suddenly shown up with hardly any warning and expected to be welcomed--WITHOUT giving satisfactory answers to logical questions. Also, a new character has been introduced by Lioness-of-God: a girl named Erin, whose mother is a mystery novelist.

Erin checked the clock and realized she should be heading to the volunteers lunch meeting. she packed her stuff, grabbed her purse, and got into her truck. She drove up to the church, parked, and started walking to where the meeting was being held.

" Can I come in?," she asked, now with a frown " I need someone right now my brother is at chruch so you the only I can think of," she told him.

" Mostly everything," she told him, walking in side his house " First off my birth family came to town and I'm not sure if I care about them any more," she told him, taking his thumb.

" Because I realize I all ready have a family who cares about me if my birth family cared about me they well act like it you had to seen them at my house," she told him, sitting on the couch " And the other thing I had a huge fight with my brother, but I guess we all right now," she told him, opening his soup blow " Here eat this," she told him, with a smile.

Dan took the bowl and began eating. "Wait, you got into a fight with Alipang?"
