TRYING TO STAY AHEAD SOMEHOW
Saturday of Labor Day weekend was not overly eventful in Smoky Lake, apart from Chilena and Alipang and their parents facing the mystery of the odd behavior of Chilena's abruptly-reappearing birth parents. I think it was already noted how Kim Tisdale very graciously made the apology to Alipang that she certainly owed him.
Grant the church musician visited Summer's home to sing for her disabled father. Erin, the girl who works as a veterinarian's assistant, attended the volunteer lunch at the Pansit, and made friends with Pastor Stetzer and his wife. Brendan spent more time with Jennifer, who outran him in a footrace. And Jason, the troubled boy, has less and less cause to stay troubled, as by now almost everyone who was corrupting him is behind steel bars.
As soon as any urgent loose ends are tied up, it will be Sunday morning for all characters. MY character, for his part, in his own mind, will be celebrating the one-week-iversary of the first time he laid eyes on Kim Tisdale.
A new story element may soon be added to the roleplay: a Christian radio station in town.
