Brendan hurried fast to get to Jen's house. He didn't like to keep her in the dark, but I hope she's not too mad with me..

Jen waited patiently, checking herself every now and then

ooc: i have to go to my religious ed class soon... so if i randomly log off, ill be on later.

Grant walked into the house, but wasn't greeted by Scruffy. Some one must've put out back he thought to himself, as he walked into the kitchen, and opened the fridge to see what there was for a snack.

ooc: No prob. gives me a chance to get homework done. heh.

He got to her house in about 10 minutes, knocking on the door, partly out of breath from the scuffle, and the jog over.

ooc: hah. procrastinated?

ic: Jen opened the door to see him breathless. "Woah, are you okay?" she asked.

ooc: no just got it today haha.

ic: "Uh, yeah. Here let's walk to the movies" he held out his hand for her to take it as they jumped onto the sidewalk. Along the way to the theater, he explained the whole conflict, how he was walking in the park, and saw Alipang in trouble, and he stepped in to help. And thats why he had to hang up so fast because he was at that moment, talking to Al's sister.

The paramedics assured Alipang that his parents would eventually get out to Shilohsville to see him at the hospital; and they judged that he would not need to stay there longer than overnight--that for all the pain, his condition had not actually changed greatly. He could not, however, be reasonably expected to work at his job soon.

Most of the assailants proved to be West High students: evidence of some bad-guy networking between schools. But one of the two African-American culprits--the one who had had a knife--was from Shilohsville, a gang suspect. More than one person learning this wondered, Are they expanding this way at last? And will it move on to guns next?

Rafael Imada received news from the male cop (who was himself a frequent Pansit customer) about Alipang's close call. He told the others only that Alipang would be unable to work tonight. On the remote chance that Kim Tisdale had any feelings whatsoever for Alipang, Rafael didn't want worry to spoil her waitressing performance. He knew she needed work, and he wanted her to succeed.

ooc: that much?

ic: Jen was shocked. "Wow.... This town has really changed. Gangs, fighting... I sure hope this doesn't come down to murder or anything horrible like that...." she shuddered at the thought of being a victim.

ooc: what?

ic: "I hope it doesn't either". They got to the theater, and Brendan told her "I'll pay". He pulled out a ten, and said, "Two for Desperaux? thanks". He gave Jen her ticket. "Would you like popcorn or anything? cause I think I'm gonna get some".
