Introduction Thread II

hahahahahaha!!!...:D perhaps they got lost comming back hahaha...

Sort of... Not being a total electronic person who speaks some Computerese, I've gone into some other worldly places like THE LOST WORLD OF PM, VM, and THE FORUM'S EDGE. I thought I'd NEVER come out. To get to Narnia, all they had to do was go through a Wardrobe Closet...

Of course, I feel at ease enough to call on the Narnian's here, should I lose my way. And you HAVE responded instantly! Thank You! You all know who you are, and will be. Now to make sure I have properly thanked everyone by checking my messages, and didn't lose them.

Squeak!

I’ve joined the forum to speak up for the interests of Talking Mice everywhere. Very small size has been bestowed on us Mice and if we did not guard our dignity then some (who weigh worth by inches) would allow themselves very unsuitable pleasantries at our expense.

Actually, that’s a lie. The truth is I really wanted to be Roonwit, because I think he’s really wise and full of honour, but that username has already gone (as has Glenstorm). So the next choice in line of most honourable creatures was the Talking Mice, and Reepicheep has been taken. Peepiceek is a cool name too; I think I would have chosen it even if Reepicheep was still available.

Looking forward to squeaking at you all on the forum!
Peepiceek

Greetings, Peepiceek!

Long ago, in a Narnian roleplay on a site since vanished, I played as a Talking Mouse who was courting the daughter of Peepiceek.

Since more new-arrival names have appeared on the list, for their benefit I will repeat the recommendation I make for new members from time to time.

Near the bottom of the starting page is a major section called The Professor's Writing Club. In that sub-forum there is a topic thread called "Sonnets Here, In-House." Almost all of the poems in this thread are personality portraits of past and present Dancing Lawn members. Thus, reading the poems is a device which will help you get acquainted with your new neighbors.

The Writing Club, by the way, is where you are invited also to post your own creative writing. It can be Narnia-related, or anything else that isn't offensive.

Hello everyone, my name is Sarah [although I prefer to be called Esmeralda].
And I am brand new to the Narnia fandom. My gradfather bought The Chronicles of Narnia[all-in-one book] as an early Christmas present to me a few days ago. I just finished reading The Magician's Nephew, and I can already tell Im going to thoroughly enjoy reading this series.
I suppose the real reason it took me so long to start reading the CoN, is because of Harry Potter. Ive been apart of that fandom since I was in the third grade, and somehow it felt like I would be "betraying" the series by switching over. In the end, I figured it was just time for something new.
Im eighteen.
I live in California
I go to school at Los Angeles Community College [I'll be going to USC after I finish all my General Eds.]
My favorite colour is green
My favorite band is The Smiths [+ David Bowie, Led Zeppelin, The Doors, Little Richard, and Sonic Youth]
My favorite book is "The Perks of Being a Wallflower" by Stephen Chbosky
hope to see you all around the boards!

Welcome Esmeralda
may your days on the Dancing Lawn be filled with light laughter stimulating conversation and good company!
p.s one of my favorite Narnia books is the Magician's Nephew

Obligatory Introduction

Greetings All,

Since we all must introduce ourselves in order to post at all, here I am.
Some simple info: I'm Australian, female and currently bored out of my skull at work. Shhhh!

I stumbled across these forums in my search for a release date for The Voyage of The Dawn Treader. It's my favourite of the books and of the BBC series - which I've watched periodically ever since I was about 10. I'm really really looking forward to seeing what they do with this one, despite my slight disappointment with Prince Caspian (never a particular favourite anyway).

I'm really into the Fantasy genre (of course) and rarely read anything else. I'm currently reading The Cosmic Trilogy for the first time and am well over half way through Perelandra. It's really interesting; very thought provoking.

Sooooo... There you go. :D
