Magician's Nephew - My future project!

Episode 2 - more updates.

Those who have read the book might know what animation difficulties I will be experiencing ;) such as creating unique scenery, as described in the book. I can also understand the reason why nobody attempted to make 'The Magician's Nephew', as it is becoming really hard.....however I am trying my best.

Anyway, here is a quiz for those who read the book (look at image below). Which part do you think this is? (CLUE: After jumping into a certain pool).

Woah! That looks incredibly wicked, I can't wait for the whole thing to come out, I say, how long will it take for it to be released? Good luck though, I hope it turns out good, I'm sure it will, as you are so talented :D

Don't you mean the 'Wood between the Worlds?' Sorry to ruffle your feathers and sound like a Narnia geek ;) . The fan listing is quite a nice touch by the way, hope they include something like that in the movie DVD and I can't wait till they find Jadis.

Yep sorry about that. It has been mentioned in the animation through words.....Something for the Narnia fans out there. Anyway, those who want to know where im up to....read on:

<SPOILERS> Well, Jadis first appearance and animation has been done today. There will be no screenshots of her as it will come in as a suprise ;) </SPOILERS>

The Truth!

After days of animation for episode 2. I must say that it has become much more difficult.

E.G

Each brick from a building is animated a 'frame' for it to have the effect of a 'zoom-out'. And there are at least 50 bricks to animate and there is 100 frames.

So how long is the animation's legnth? Well so far it has gone up to 12 minutes. My target is between 20-30 minutes to make it an episode.

Also, THE QUEEN! After days and days of creating a queen, it has turned out to be bad news.....The queen is very hard to create and to be honest, I can only create a simple mod. The traditional clothes wont be there......robes etc since I have explained above the effort required to animate it.

Anyway enough with the bad side. After showing the animation to a certain person ;) I am happy to know that so far the thumbs are up! According to this person, the screenplay wont be like part one, instead there is more animation going around in the background. Also, the soundtrack in this episode will be quite interesting. Something to match the picture.....which means the queen will have a dramatic entrance. :D

What about voice acts? Well, i will be sending scripts to the characters (Polly And Digory) soon in the future. Some characters still have not been chosen.

Check for further updates. Hopefully, I can get to complete episode 2 soon!

You must try to make Jadis as beautiful as possible, and for authenticity it would be cool if you put in the opening credits; adapted from 'The Chronicles of Narnia by C.S. Lewis.'

Umm - aren't you forgetting that Jadis is supposed to be sitting at the end of a long row of statues? All here royal predecessors on the Throne of Charn. She doesn't sit in a room by herself. That's how the children are surprised - all they see is the row of image, and after ringing the bell are startled when one of them stands up.

LOL yeah i know. That picture you saw there is a test of the location/background.. I have done that but not posted a screenshot of it.

Also about Jadis.......too hard to create, therefore I have tried my best. Please try to understand that her usual clothes described in the book wont be there. This is simply because of the animation required to move the robes is very difficult. Lets put it this way.....Jadis in this version will be unique.

Episode 2 Animation Complete! Auditions up

Yes finally, the animation is complete for episode 2 alongside with the soundtrack which is VERY interesting according to those that I have shown.

It is now time to find the voice for Jadis, since this project has also been listed other places, there may be high volumes of auditions for Jadis.

If you think you are fit for the role, please e-mail me with a voice file:

Click Start > Programs > Accessories > Entertainment > Sound Recorder

Using 'Sound Recorder', say your favorite line from the book (my favorite: "how did such as you dear to enter my domain...) and send the file as an attachment.
