"Then stop doing it."
Marissa glared at him. "I was going to... as soon as we find him. He'd hate if he saw them... He used to, cut, you know? It scared me... a lot."
"Then stop doing it."
Marissa glared at him. "I was going to... as soon as we find him. He'd hate if he saw them... He used to, cut, you know? It scared me... a lot."
"Well... I'm sure he'd understand, I mean you went through alot."
Marissa shrugged. "He went through more. I always felt... overshadowed... he had so many troubles. And I had it easy, compared to him..." she trailed off. "It's doesn't matter, anyway."
"Sure it does. You feel alot for him. And he'll understand I'm sure. I mean if he loves you, if he's EVER loved you, he'll understand."
She nodded. "You're right..." But what if he didn't love me? what if it was just me thinking it was love? she thought doubtfully. "So, um.. how'd you and Destiny meet?"
"We meet one day in class. And things just happened I guess."
Marissa nodded. "She missed you a lot, you know..."
"I know... I...." Axel sighed and took a deep breath. "I took Blake away. I'm sorry..."
Marissa glanced at him and then away. "It's- well, it's not okay, but once we find him, it will be," she whispered.
"No, I mean... I REALLY took him away... One day, I grabbed him by the shoulders, and against the wall... Next thing I knew, we were both in Canada and he was on fire. I'm sorry Marissa. But, I'll make it all better. I promise."
She looked at her hands. "oh..." there was a silence for a few moments. "why? why did you two fight all the time?"
"I don't know... I think it was Ma... I don't know."
"Ma?" she asked quietly. What was going on? Why did she feel like he was leaving something out?
Axel kept quiet. He turned the radio on, and just drove. He didn't want her to hurt anymore than she did.
"Axel, please. I need to know..." she said, turning the music down.
"We... Fought over... Never mind, just let it go. I'll let you know if it's needed."
Marissa sighed. "Fine." she turned and watched the scenery. She was upset. She had a right to know what was going on.
After an hour or so of silence, he spoke up again. "We'll be there in another two hours..."
