Eringuard and Chloe journey to Cair Paravel

Removing himself from the creatures mind, he left it in the comatose state that he had placed it in. Returning to the area he was shocked when he couldn't hear Chloe's breathing. He was tempted to call, and if what the creatures mind was true, and he knew it was, then it wouldn't matter if he shouted at the top of his lungs. If the creature hadn't been important enough to take to battle, why would Crystal care to inform him about a scouting party? Just when he parted his lips to give out a slight call, he felt Chloe's hand take his. It was cold, freezing almost. Turning he connected with her quickly, but hid the memories from her, knowing that she didn't need to live through that. They've already left for Cair Paravel, he explained, not suprised to feel her gerk.
And what of Susan? her voice told him that she really didn't want to know the answer, she felt that the worst had happened. He was actually happy to tell her that Susan was still alive, and was with Crystal at Cair Paravel. Chloe relaxed so much he thought she had fainted, yet she stood. A tear dripped off her cheek from under the hood falling down towards the ground.
We must return to Cair Paravel and now! she said her voice holding a determination unlike any he had heard before.
Come, he said leading her back around to the front of the castle. Speed was of the escense and they practically ran half a mile. They were in the middle of a clearing when Chloe suddenly stopped. "Eringuard," her voice cutting the silence of the night like the sporadic thunder. He dropped back beside her, hidden beneath her hood he couldn't see her face very well. Swiftly she pulled back her hood, looking up to the nightsky, and bringing her fingers to her mouth. He didn't have any warning nor protection from the high pitched note that echoed in his ears. It was long held, but a dip in the note before pitching up brought an end to it.
"What in Aslan's Mane was that?!" Eringuard asked, his ears still ringing.

----------------------------------------------------------------

It had struck Chloe while they had been running that Sheerik would never get them back in time to do anything. Remembering the prophecy, horror hit her, the pain esploding in her chest causing her to nearly stop breathing all together. Oh Aslan! You wouldn't do that? You wouldn't have them die just to make me become Queen! Oh God! No! I don't want to be queen if it will take the life of those I love. Don't do it! Please, God, don't! Tears streaked across her cheeks, as she sped up.
A quiet still voice spoke to her, calming her, also recalling a memory. When she had first arrived in Narnia, she had been in the middle of a battle, saved twice by the centuar, her belated friend Keilen Tymin. The whistle... the whistle... the voice said.
What whistle? What are yo-... The whistle! Chloe didn't realise that she had stopped. "Eringuard!" she said quietly. He turned and looked at her, coming back to her side. She didn't even notice him... How did it go? Was it high, low, high? Yes! That's it!! she tore down her hood and brought her fingers to her lips speedily positioning them with ease. The noise was horribly loud, even for her ears, ignoring it, she dropped an octave before bringing it back up and stopping. Tearing her fingers from her mouth, she looked to the sky waiting. Please let this work! she cried to herself.
"What in Aslan's Mane was that?!" Eringuard said his voice very loud. It didn't even occur to Chloe that he had spoken, her eyes were keenly searching the sky. Suddenly a familiar spark of fire flew through the harrowing clouds.
"Yes!" Chloe whispered exhasperated. "Phen! We're down here!" she called to the clouds.
Eringuard followed her eyes. He too had spotted the orange speck.
"It's Phen!" Chloe said excitement filling her. Phen would get them there in time, of that she was sure. Features began to appear on the dot as it approached like a bullet speeding across the sky. It stopped only yards in front of them. Phen looked down on them from her height.
"Lady Chloe?" her booming voice echoed, its curiousity in full.
"Yes it's me Phen, I'll explain what's going on. But can you take us to Cair Paravel? It's an emergency," Chloe said preparing to walk forward, but felt Eringuard grip her arm, not allowing her to move. She gave no sign that she was perturbed by it, and merely stood.
"Of course, Lady Chloe," Phen said bowing. She brought her head down so that Chloe could easily swing her leg over the base of her neck. Coming, Chloe slid on. Eringuard was quick, slidding on infront of her, but it was obvious that he didn't like this idea. Chloe was shocked that he was sitting up front, he had always sat behind her before. Shutting her mouth, she kept her thoughts to herself. "So you don't get cold, it's going to be freezing up there," Eringuard explained finding a hold.
"Hang on tight," Phen said taking to the sky.
"Eringuard notify Sheerik that we have returned to Cair Paravel!" Chloe said, screaming over the sound of the rush of air as they gained speed.
I already did, as soon as I realized your intent.
Good...
Chloe responded, telepathically. It wasn't long before Chloe's hands were cold. She was thankful that Eringuard had sat in front of her, but also felt guilty because he was suffering. Turning her head she pulled herself closer to his back.
She felt terror welling up inside of her, but took comfort in the fact that Aslan had prophesized this. It would happen just as he said it would.

-------------------------------------------------------------

Time passed slowly, unlike the wind, as Eringuard sat diligently on the back of this great bird. It has to be a pheonix, he said to himself. I've never heard of another creature who flamed like this... Chloe sat behind him, her face pressed against his back, offering a little warmth. His thoughts seemed to run in circles, what would happen when they arrived? Would they survive the battle? Would Chloe, innocent Daughter of Eve, as she was, be able to handle killing someone? He closed his eyes as another flash of lighting destroyed his night vision. Electrical energy from the blast passed, soon followed by the deafening clater of thunder nearby. He shivered, though they were moving quickly, the storm seemed to be gaining on them. Phen seemed to think being so close to the clouds wasn't a good idea, and dove a little towards the ground. Eringuard held on tight. He wasn't used to riding, even horses. He'd always preferred walking, even during long trips.
He felt a slight tremor course through Chloe's body behind him. Eringuard turned, just enough to look back at her. Her skin was pale, and she seemed to be closed to everything around her.
"Are you cold, Lady Chloe?" he asked, his worry reflecting in his voice. He brought his hand from its hold to cover her tightly clamped hands around his waist. They were cold.
She shook her head. He was about to ask what was bothering her, but she conveyed her true feelings when she spoke. "It's just-" she stopped, but the broken sound in her voice told him everything he needed to know. She was utterly terrified of what she knew was to come. He gripped her small hand, seeking a way to bring her comfort.
"We're almost there," Phen said, her loud voice vibrating beneath them. Eringuard looked back up and felt Chloe doing the same. In the distance, lightning flashed illuminating the castle, and the sea tossing and turning behind it.
"Quickly, Phen!" Chloe cried out from behind them. Phen's response wasn't in words but with a strong burst of her gigantic firy wings, she sped forward toward the small castle growing on the horizon.

The Arrival at Cair Paravel

They reached the castle in a short amount of time below them they could see the battle raging. Landing on the side of a roof, Phen dropped her body low to the ground. Eringuard slid off, Chloe following him closely. She ran to the edge, of the roof. To close for Eringuard's comfort, coming up behind her, he followed her gaze. Her eyes darted from face to face below, she was so intent on finding something, or someone, she didn't even notice when Phen took to the sky diving into the battle.
Apparently finding what she needed, she whispered something, taking off around him without waiting. He kept up with her easily, watching as she found a trapdoor that only someone with experience in this castle would have found. Helping her lift it, he watched her drop down into the hatch landing beside her. They were in a small room, it was dark but using his vision he could make out a few discrepancies in the walls around them. Chloe moved to one of these walls and gently ran her fingers along the surface, looking for a protrusion, or a handhold. She seemed to get aggitated quickly, letting out an angry huff when she couldn't find what she was looking for.
"It's over here," he said taking her hand and leading her to a small knotch about two steps to her left. She grasped it firmly, yanking on it. The wall moved, shuddering and opened reavealing a staircase. She charged out, but didn't take a step before Eringuard grabbed her arm. She turned to face him, a blank expression on her face. She seemed lost, as though she didn't know who he was. Fear, he said to himself noticing her eyes slowly change, his calm bringing sanity back to her. "We need to stay together."
She understood, her face giving him the look of comprehension. He needed to know that she would be collected enough to battle without getting hot headed and loosing her balance or her ground. Her eyes bore into him, and as if coming upon and understanding she closed hers turning away. He felt her body relax and her cool restored.
"I'm sorry," she said coming back around to face him. "I just- I'm not used to battles. I just want this over and done with as quickly as possible."
"I know you do, but keep your head on, or you will endanger everyone," he watched her curiously. She nodded coming forward she gave him a quick hug, before taking his hand and leading him slowly and cautiously back down the stairs.
Arriving at the bottom, they ran into another obstacle. Obviously, this time, Chloe was as lost at what to do as he was. They stared at the wall, even Eringuard was unable to detect any differences in surface texture. He looked back to Chloe who was standing with her eyes closed, deep in thought. She spoke without warning, "Aslan is King," she said curiously. Eringuard raised his eyebrow at her sudden statement. Just as he was about to ask what she meant by it, he felt the room quake beneath his feet. Turning, he watched the stone wall rolled back revealing the hallway of the castle. A centaur battled a minotaur directly ahead of them. Without much thought, Eringuard ripped his bow off his shoulder, setting an arrow to the string and releasing it, in one graceful movement. The arrow's aim was true and it hit the creature, killing it instantly. The centuar didn't stop to ask questions he merely turned to the next attacker.
"Come with me," Chloe said grabbing his hand, with her own empty one, the other holding her sword, she led him down the hall. It seemed like forever before they reached the courtyard, and both of them bore battle marks. Chloe had received a bad bruise to her torso, after being hit with a large hammer, and Eringuard had several cuts and scraps. All of them were superficial wounds, but they still were battlemarks.
Battling with a ogre, Eringuard made sure to keep an eye on Chloe as she battled a hag. Such a creature, hidious as she was, was using spells and curses against Chloe, all of which seemed to do little to her as she battled. She killed the hag with grace, and he noticed a slight flash in her eyes as she did so. She was sorry, and yet she knew she couldn't brood on it. She came up beside Eringuard, together they quickly destroyed the ogre. With him out of the way, they stepped forward.

--------------------------------------------------------------

Crystal watched the girl crossing the courtyard, a elf by her side. She knew without a doubt that this girl was the one who was prophecized by Aslan - a shiver running up her spine as the thought of his name sent terror through her - to kill her. At least that was what her spy had overheard. She snickered to ease some of her tension. A pitiful human girl... She's barely fully grown! How dare Aslan presume that I cannot easily defeat her! she growled audiably. She watched the girl and the elf complimenting eachothers movements with grace and simplicity as they attacked a strong ogre. They overcame him easily, continuing in union farther towards the center of the courtyard. Suddenly the girl stopped, and looked up directly at Crystal, in her tower as she looked out over them. Their eyes connected, and in that moment, Crystal felt dread overwelm her. The girl's eyes held such peace, courage, love, and innocence - everything that Crystal was not, and could never be. But soon that moment ended, their eyes broke contact as the girl defended herself against an attacking wolf.
Crystal trembled, hiding it beneath a glare that would have caused many a man to soil himself. Looking over the battle, she saw King Peter, King Edmund, but Queen Lucy was no where in sight. Hiding, I speculate, a smirk only making her features more hidious. She looked over at Susan's form on the ground. She was awake, the elder of the two Queens. She looked up at Crystal with disdain. "It'll be over soon, dear Queen," Crystal taunted at her.
"Searching for someone?" a tender voice called from behind her. Turning on her heels, Crystal spotted the girl immediatly. Her sword was drawn and held at the ready, the Elf was beside her, his two scrimitars crossed in front of him.
"Only you, you fool," she growled, tightening her grip on her wand. The Elf's eyes flickered to her weapon, a flame growing in his eyes, he moved insignificantly.
Chloe saw Susan in the corner and moved visibly towards her. "Susan!" she called out to her. Her eyes swung back at the witch between her and Susan.
"Hand her over!" Chloe said calmly.
Crystal merely laughed at the girl. "And why, persay would I do such a thing, stupid human brat?"
The Elf moved again, this time more visibly in defense of the girl.
"And what is this? A guard? For the human who is 'supposed' to be able to defeat me?" she mocked. Laughing at them she noticed that the girl had no reaction to the commentary. Neither did the Elf. They aren't going to be so easily defered by criticism.

Chloe's Battle with Crystal

Chloe was comforted by the fact that Eringuard was beside her. She knew that he would not be able to take this weight from her shoulders, but just knowing he was nearby made her stand taller against the provocation of the witch in front of her. She suffered, being so close to Susan, yet not close enough. She looked back up at the woman.
The woman was beautiful, hidiously so. Her long black hair weaving down her back, it's darkness matching the darkest ink. Her eyes, peircing blue, and her lips full, and red. To most she would be alluring, and bewitching. Chloe internally laughed at the pun she had created. She was calmed by the sudden silence in between the womans comments. She didn't care for her at all.
Eringuard shuffled, his scrimitars - something she had never seen him use before this battle - uncrossed, held in an attacking posture. She tightened her grip on her sword, keeping her eyes on Crystal.
"Quit stalling," Eringuard growled, "let us kill your despicable hide and get this over with." Chloe was suprised that he was so hateful, even to Crystal. He had always been tender and sweet to her, he had never shown any sign of hate, or of greed. None of the emotions that slowly destroyed the human race, and that of several others. Some races had brooded in it and had become so corrupted, they did not acknowledge love at all.
Crystal moved and Eringuard took it as an attack, her wand-hand swinging up to aim. His speed nearly took Chloe's breath away. He dove right at her, his scrimitars weaving in a impenetrable forcefeild around him.
Chloe moved in beside him, they fought with her. Every movement made by her, was balanced by one of his scrimitars, giving Crystal not a moment to relax. Chloe went on the defense when Crystal swung her sword around catching Chloe's wrist, leaving a deep mark. Chloe didn't mind the pain, but worked harder to cover up any openings the witch may have noticed. She tried to move in under a swipe with the wand, to get Crystal's open side, and that's when it happened. Chloe felt her heart skip a beat as she watched in horror, it was so fast that she couldn't have predicted it or acted in anyway. The witch brought her sword under Eringuard's scrimitars that were rising in one fluid motion to attack her wand arm. It went right into the left side of his chest and out the other-side. Time seemed to slow as Chloe watched the witch kick him off her sword. All sound disappeared, and Chloe didn't even realize that she was calling to him, nor that she had come down beside him. She watched him chocking, blood running from his lips. His eyes met hers and they held such a peace, no pain, no suffering before they closed. Chloe felt anger building inside her. She had caused his death. Standing she noticed the witch clutching her side where Chloe's sword had impalled itself, and stayed. She had no weapon, but her fury, and her hands. This was vengence. She didn't care if she died, as long as she slaughtered the witch for what she did to Eringuard... to Susan... and to her.
Do not let yourself fall into anger, beloved.... Watch yourself. You are walking into the Devil's many snares, a voice called to her. She ignored it, looked up at the witch, watching her remove Chloe's sword from waist. A string of words ran from the Witch's mouth, such names and words Chloe had never even thought of using. She attacked Chloe, swinging her sword angrily, loosing her concentration and grace. Chloe dodged the weapon easily. Limboing when it came back around to chop off her upper torso, Chloe waited until the blade was past and Crystal couldn't regain her balance before swinging her foot up. It connected with her jaw, a resounding cruch sending shivers through Chloe's body as she landed in a standing postion after completeing the simple move. Chloe smiled, "That's for Eringuard, you-" Crystal cursed at her again, cutting off the vulgar word that had nearly immited itself from Chloe's mouth. Chloe ran towards her sword, everypart of her being, flowing with the lush of hate. She wanted, no needed, to kill this woman. Using a magical power, Crystal thrust Chloe back into a wall, several yards away.

Chloe felt the wind knocked out of her. It felt like she had been hit by a tractor trailer. She gasped for breath, but before she could absorb any of the lifegiving oxygen she felt herself flying through the air again. This time she was falling to the ground, which came upon her quickly pushing air from her lungs that she didn't know she had had. She tried to breathe in again as she struggled to her feet, realizing to her horror how much hate she had held. It was almost as though the spell had knocked some sense back into her. I am so sorry God! Chloe apologized internally. She felt the forgivness, mercy and grace of God running through her, calm and peace returning, as she looked up in time to see Crystal swinging her wand back towards her. She was hit by another harsh spell, and felt as though every part of her body was being torn apart. She fought to keep herself from screaming in pain.
"Are you ready to give up human? I don't see any help coming to you," Crystal taunted from the other side of the spell, looking around her. "Accept death, and it will be quick and only slightly painful. If you do not, I will drag it out. You will live for ever in utter torment, crying that I had taken your life," she smirked.
"I'll take the option behind door number three," Chloe smiled. "Oh! And look, it is your death for the glory of God!" she shouted as pain blacked out her vision.
Abruptly, the pain stopped, and she felt her feet back on the ground. She managed to keep herself standing. Looking up at the witch, she noticed the horror on the woman's face.
Chloe watched as the witch pointed her wand in Chloe's direction saying a strange word to it.
May this ending be fitting to you plan, Aslan, Chloe prayed closing her eyes. But the death blow never came, only an aggrivated shout. Opening her eyes again, Chloe saw Crystal toss her wand away in disgust. She charged at Chloe her sword held as to kill her on contact. Chloe twirled out of the way, feeling the vibrations in the wind as the sword narrowly missed her. Chloe took the time that Crystal's loss of balance gave her. She ran to get her own sword, when she reached it she snatched it off the ground, and turned in a graceful movement. She saw Crystal coming at her, and had no time to react as she felt the pressure of another body running into her. Crystal's eyes grew wide as her own sword dropped behind her, standing upright in the ground. They both looked down in horror upon Chloe's sword piercing through Crystal's chest. Warm blood dripped off the sword and ran down to Chloe's hand, flowing over it. Chloe looked back up, and waited. Crystal never lifted her head, so Chloe let go of the hilt, watching as Crystal fell in slow motion. Chloe looked down upon her fallen form.

----------------------------------------------------------

She felt a hand touch her shoulder, and she jerked. "Hey it's alright, it's over," a familiar voice said, arms strong, yet gentle wrapped around her waist pulling her back into their embrace. Chloe blinked and looked out the window. The battle had long since ended, and her legs were weak and weary. She let herself fall into the arms that held her. She didn't know how long she had stood there looking down at the broken form of Crystal that bled out on the ground.
The arms that held her caught her, but they, too, seemed too weak to hold her up, and slowly the person and Chloe came to the ground together. Chloe trembled, her eyes dazed. "Shhh," the voice said, gently stroking her hair. She turned to look at the voice, her vision was blurred and she couldn't make out the face. "Eringua-" she began but couldn't finish. She felt a darkness surround her, the rapture of unconsciousness.
"Sleep, beloved Daughter of Eve, sleep..." the voice faded.

The next thing Chloe remembered was waking up in a warm, comfortable bed. It was familiar, she moved slightly, feeling the familiar blankets. She was back in her room at the castle. She remembered the last few minutes of her conscious state. She had been held by someone, but she couldn't allow herself to believe that it had truly been Eringuard. He had died. She winced slightly remembering his death a tear down the side of her face into the hair behind her temple.
"Chloe?" a voice came from above her. She felt a hand cup her cheek bringing her face towards the sound of its voice. She opened her eyes and saw him, he stared down at her, concern written all over his elven features.
"Eringuard!" she cried, tears flowing down her cheeks as she through herself foward into his arms. She buried herself into his chest, and felt him move abruptly as though in pain. "Oh! I'm so sorry," she said beginning to push away, became aware of his arms holding her tightly. She was careful not to hurt him.
"No need to be sorry," he said with a laugh. "It is good to see you awake again, Chloe," he uttered quietly.
Chloe searched for the correct words and then, when unable to find any, blurted out, "I thought you had died!"
Eringuard chuckled, allowing her to pull away enough to look at his face. Her hand rested on his chest, touching the bandage the covered the wound the Crystal's sword had caused as it narrowly missed his heart. "It just missed," he said noting her eyes widening on the wound.
She sighed, leaning her forhead agianst his chest. Silence insued.
"Oh my! Susan?! What happened to Susan?!" she cried bolting up.
"Be at peace. Queen Susan is safe and well. She is with King Peter at the moment, I believe," Eringuard said putting her fears to rest.
Chloe sighed, audiably, relaxing back into the pillows. She was asleep within moments.
Oh Aslan, how much longer will she rest? She has slept for approaching two weeks! How much longer?
"Be still," a voice came from behind Eringuard causing him to jolt up off the bed.
His breath caught in his throat, as his heart jumped up to greet it. "Aslan!" he cried in a sqweeky voice.
"Be still Elven Warrior, she will not sleep forever. She put much effort into fulfilling her part in the Emperor's Great Plan," Aslan said coming forward.
Eringuard trembled. What a Mighty Lion he truly is!.... Maybe... Maybe I could ask him what his plan is now for her? "Oh Son of the Em-" Eringuard began, but Aslan knew his thoughts.
"She will live in peace, here for a time, and then on her world. The time will eventually come for her to take rulership over Narnia, just as I promised," Aslan said, gently placing an understanding look on Eringuard.
Shocked by the revelation that Aslan had given him, Eringuard stood looking down on Chloe's sleeping form, unbelieving. He watched her chest rise and fall, slowly. He turned back to where Aslan had been but was shocked when he found not even a sign that he had been there.

--------------------------------------------------------

Joseph had survived the battle, and had been in the Medical bay for nearly a week. When he heard that Chloe had returned to the castle, was unconscious, and under the care of a Elf, he ran to her room. She was still unconscious, but the Elf, had been sitting beside her when Joseph burst in. Joseph didn't even notice him as he charged to Chloe's side. "Chloe?" he whispered grabbing her hand, and falling to his knees. "Oh Chloe," he said looking over her wan pallor.
"Who are you?" the Elf had asked his hand on his scrimitars. Joseph had stood, removing his own sword.
"I could ask you the same question," he snarled.
"I am Eringuard, Elf Lord of Eicar," Eringuard began to list of all the titles he had received during his centuries of living, ending with, "Lady Chloe's companion on her journey, and her caretaker. Now who are you?"
"Joseph Ciero, Lady Chloe's friend from Earth," he said lowering his sword.
"Ah! I remember," Eringuard said.
"How is she?" Joseph asked after the silence that had followed.
"She was not harmed physically, but I believe that killing Crystal took it's toll on her mind," Eringuard commented, looking down upon Chloe tenderly before looking back up at Joseph. "She has slept since the battle."
"Not once has she woken?" Joseph asked shocked. He wondered if she had fallen into a coma. He was worried for her.
"No, she hasn't woken," Eringuard said.
"If she does will you call for me?" Joseph asked.
"Of course," Eringuard nodded.
"Thank you... Do you mind if I stay with her a while?"
"Not at all, please," Eringaurd welcomed. Ever since Joseph had come by to see Chloe, everyday, if not twice. Him and Eringuard had spoken many a time, relating stories and such. Most of the time, the conversation was about Chloe. Joseph would tell him things from when they had gotten to know one another back on Earth, of her family, and friends, what she would do for fun and such. Sometimes having to explain what certian items were, but Eringuard seemed mostly interested in her family and friend life. It was almost as though Chloe had left that out of their conversations during their three month journey.
Today, however, Joseph had come by in the morning, and hadn't gotten around to getting back, when a message came from a bird. Joseph had gotten accoustomed to talking animals, even though sometimes it disturbed him. This time he wasn't shocked by the way the bird landed beside him, that he was a talking bird. "Elf Lord, Eringuard, has called you to Lady Chloe's sleeping room," the bird began. "Lady Chloe is resting, but awoke this afternoon." he said, but Joseph was already off.
When he arrived he was welcomed by Eringuard who told him of what had happend that morning, leaving what Aslan had told him out. "She's resting now." Eringuard finished. "But I'm hoping that she will awaken soon, so she may eat and drink, properly."
Joseph just nodded, touching Chloe's brow. She moved slightly and belayed his fear of her being in a coma. "Call me when she awakens again, please," Joseph said, turning to leave. She needed her rest, and he would let her have it.

Mizar Ravages Archenland:

After porting near Winding Arrow River, Mizar's forces marched onward to the Castle of Anvard. It took them less then an hour to reach the castle. Mizar the gave the orders to attack, and like a flood the forces moved towards the castle. Walking slowly behind Mizar smiled, as if victory had already been achieved. When the forces reached the castle it wasn't a battle, it was a slaughter. Most of the Archenland troops fortified the gate, but as Mizar approached the gate began to boil, and when Mizar reached the gate it melted. Mizar’s forces then flooded into the castle killing everyone they saw. The out numbered Archenland soldiers made futile effort to hold the forces back. But it was no use, the enemies numbers where to great.

At the main hall, several knights and soldiers held strong against Mizar's troops. But just as the tables began to turn, Mizar entered the main hall. The knights and soldier prepared to attack, while Mizar stood there with a smile on his face. The first wave of knights attacked, but where turned into ash. The second wave of troops where lifted into the air crushed from the inside out, there screams echoed through the castle. the last of the troops shook with fear and made a retreat, but Mizar lifted his hands and stopped them in there tracks. He then began using them against each other, controlling them like puppets and causing them to slay each other to the last. Mizar them moved further into the castle killing all that stood before him.

Eventually Mizar reached the throne room, where he faced the King and his strongest knights. Five knights circled Mizar with there blades pointed towards him. Mizar smiled as he reached for the black blade on his belt. He then unsheathed it and held it low to his side. As Mizar stood still, the five knights came closer and began to strike. Mizar blocked first bow and then slashed the knight's arms off. He then proceeded to use the armless knight as a shield. The remaining knights tried to attack him, but failed for fear of striking the knight. Mizar then beheaded the armless knight and threw him into the other three. He then leapt towards the fourth knight and struck him in the arm. Mizar the pulled his sword out of the knight and stabbed him in the chest, cutting even through the armor and the chain mail! Mizar pulled his sword out and turned towards the remaining knights. The three knights approached Mizar with caution, they moved slowly with there blades in front. Mizar smiled again as he lifted two of them into the air and crushed them form within. The last knight looking at his fallen brethren ran towards Mizar with his sword forward shouting a battle cry. But just as he reached Mizar's position, Mizar disappeared. The knight stopped and looked all around and saw nothing. Then out of a dark cloud, Mizar re-appeared and struck the knight in the back. He then pulled his blade out of the knight's back and lifted him into the air. Mizar's face became very pale and his eyes where red as flames. The knight then began to feel a heat within his body, and slowly flames began to ignite within him. The knight screamed as the flames consumed his body and he became ash. Mizar then turned to the King and walked towards him.

The King stood stern not moving a muscle as Mizar approached. Mizar then came face to face with the King and said "Are you the king of this kingdom?". The King then replied "yes I am". Mizar then smiled and said "Good". Mizar then circled the King and said "I have taken your castle, I have taken your land and I will soon take you life". "I do not fear death" said the King sternly. "For when I die I shall go to a better land with Aslan" said the King. Mizar laughed and said "fool, that pitiful lion can't save anyone". "You're wrong, he will save us all, and we will be with him in paradise". Mizar then cringed, the words of the King irritated him. "Enough, you life ends now!" said Mizar grasping his sword. The King the stood firm closing his eyes and smiling. Mizar then swung his blade beheading the King. Mizar stood over the body with a smile, but that smile soon turned into a frown, for a loud roar shook the throne room and a light surrounded the King's body. Mizar then saw a vision of the King and Aslan, and when Mizar's eyes met Aslan's a deep hate filled Mizar. When the vision ended Mizar stood silent, hate swelled in him. One of Mizar’s' commanders approached him. "My lord, we are ready to take the rest of Archenland, shall we proceed?". Mizar turned to the commander and said "Yes, turn it all into ash!". "Yes my lord, you will will be done" said the commander with a bow. Mizar then walked towards the king's throne and sat on it, he lifted his hands towards his face in a cuffed manner and starred with his red burning eyes.

Chloe didn't realize she had fallen back asleep, until she woke up beside Eringuard who was sleeping quite peacefully beside her. She watched him for a moment, before slowly trying to slip out of the bed. His hand flew out and grabbed her around the waist pulling her back, his smile told her that he wasn't asleep and that he had only been resting his eyes. "Alright, cheeky, you win," Chloe said giggling. She moved to stand, but the moment her feet met the floor she felt weakness flow through her. She couldn't have stood if she wanted to.
"You aren't strong enough to stand," Eringuard commented from his seat behind her.
"Way to state the obvious," Chloe teased, she was slighlty concerned, but when she felt hunger-pains she realized why. "How long have I been asleep?" she asked.
"Nearly two weeks," Eringuard said sliding off the bed beside her. Chloe was stunned. Well no wonder I'm so hungry! He wrapped her in a blanket, before scooping her into his arms, carrying her down to the eating hall. It was far after midnight, and the only people awake in the castle would be them and sentries. He sat her down in a chair. "Wait here and I'll go get you something to eat."
"Not like I'm going to go anywhere," Chloe teased him again. She must have slept another while, after she had awakened, for he was no longer wearing a bandage, but the scar was horrible. He smirked at her, kissing her tenderly on the forhead before turning and disappearing into the dark. He had lit a candle and that candle offered the only light in the room. It was dark, and it made her tremble slightly. Turning to look at the small flame before her, she watched it as it tilted slightly, blown by a draft as it wafted through the room. Pulling the blanket closer around her small frame, she settled.
Eringuard returned silently making her jump and squeak, when he suddenly set a loaf of bread, a peice of butter, cheese, some meat, and a glass of water, in front of her.
"There you go," he said laughing, he touched her arm calming her. "I didn't mean to startle you," his expression serious.
"It's alright, I just didn't here you approach," Chloe blushed.
"Have you ever?" Eringuard asked curious.
"Well no... but-" Chloe began but stopped. "Why is it that I can't hear you approach? What makes you so quiet?"
"Eat," Eringuard growled at her, causing her to laugh and nibble on a peice of bread. "I'm an Elf, we're always quiet. Much like the trees, we've lived in the forest since the creation of Narnia, and we've learned that silence is a great advantage while hunting."
"Since when did I become a form of prey," Chloe asked between bites.
Eringuard laughed at her comment. He didn't respond, which caused Chloe to giggle before continuing with eating. When she was halfway done with the bread she felt stuffed. She continued to eat just to please Eringuard, she knew he had been worried for her.
"Ah!" Eringuard said suddenly. "Joseph has been by-"
"Joseph!" Chloe cried. "Oh dear! Is he alright? How did he fair in the battle? Is he angry with me for leaving withou-"
Eringuard interrupted. "He's fine, he has faired well in battle and only has one scar to show for his many fights. And no he's not angry, but he is concerned."
"Oh dear Joseph!" Chloe said feeling horrible for causing him to worry.
"He wants to see you," Eringuard commented, "but I don't think he'll mind if you finish eating to regain your strength first."
Chloe ate as quickly as she could, forcing what she could manage into her bowels. "Let us go!" she said trying to stand without thinking. She collapsed almost immediatly, thankful that Eringuard had been close enough to catch her. "Sorry," she said genuinly.
"Don't worry about it," he said scooping her up. "Do you know how to get there?" he asked after he had been heading in the wrong direction for several passages.
"Other way. Take a left at the statue of Aslan, not a right," Chloe said quietly.
"Why didn't you say anything then?"
"I didn't know if Joseph's room had moved," Chloe said shrugging slightly.
"Alright."
Chloe directed him down the halls until they found Joseph's room. Chloe knocked, having the only free hand out of the two. A groggy Joseph came to the door, in the dim light he couldn't see them properly. "Hello?" he asked.
"Oh Joseph! It's so good t-"
"Chloe?!" Joseph cried, all sleepiness driven from his body by excitement. He snatched her from Eringuard's arms, hugging her tenderly. "How are you feeling? Have you eaten?" he asked concerned he looked up at Eringuard who nodded to him.
"I'm fine, and yes I just ate," Chloe replied giggling. "If I could stop giggling today!" she growled.
Both Eringuard and Joseph looked at one another and laughed. Joseph brought them into the room, placing Chloe on a chair near to the fire. He poked it, adding another log. Soon it was blazing and Chloe was recounting everything to both Joseph and Eringuard. They both listened to her as she humbly told the entirity of what happened between her and Crystal, even including the part where she turned away from Aslan because he had allowed Eringuard to die, or so she believed.
By the time she was done, both of the them were staring at her admiringly. "What?" she asked confused.
Both of them jolted from there stupors."Uh..." Joseph said.
Chloe laughed, feeling suddenly tired. Eringuard saw it, and immediatly crossed over to her, scooping her up. Chloe rested her head against him as he bid Joseph farewell for them.
She didn't need to direct him back, Eringuard remembered all the different passages, and got them back to her room with ease. He laid her down on the bed, pulling the covers up.
"Thank you Eringuard," she whispered to him drifting off into a dreamless sleep.

Fury flew through the night sky, seeing perfectly in the blackness. She watched as a dark form swarming down on teh ground, but paid no attention, and continued to fly. The only thing that was moving was a small light underneath Fury. She looked down, and could se eth efaint outline of a running figure. Idalia ran, stride after stride, faster tahn a ny runner in all the land. Once Fury had landed, Idalia came out of the forest that she had been flyoing over, and landed with a thunp.
ARe they near? Idalia asked.
No, we left tehm far behind. They will not catch us for a few days if we keep this same speed. Fury answered her newest friend. The dragon looked into teh pitch bkacl forest, for the moon was clouded over. The Elf spoke once more.
I will need your word for the night. I cannot see squat in teh darkness. Where are we going? Idalia asked, keeping a hand o nteh dragon. Fury spoke through her mind once more.
We are going to (Insert place where everyone is here). We should be there soon. For now, get some sleep. Idalia nodded, and leaning against the dragon, fell into a light sleep./
