Honey:
See the tree how big it's grown
But friend it hasn't been too long
It wasn't big
I laughed at her and she got mad
The first day that she planted it
Was just a twig
Then the first snow came
And she went out to brush the snow away
So it wouldn't die
came running in all excited
Slipped and almost hurt herself
And I laughed till I cried

She was always young at heart
Kinda dumb and kinda smart
And I loved her so
And I surprised her with a puppy
Kept me up all Christmas eve
Two years ago
And it would sure embarress her
When I came in from working late
Cause I would know
That she'd been sitting there and crying
Over some sad and silly
Late late show

And honey I miss you
And I'm being good
And I'd love to be with you
If only I could

She wrecked the car and she was sad
And so afraid that I'd be mad
But what the heck
Though I'd pretended hard to be
Yes you can say she saw through me
And hugged my neck
I came home unexpectedly
And caught her crying needlessly
In the middle of the day
And it was in the early spring
When flowers bloomed and robins sing
She went away

And Honey I miss you
And I'm being good
And I'd loved to be with you
If only I could

One day when I was not at home
And she was there and all alone
The angels came
Now all I have is memories of Honey
And I wake yup nights
And call her name
Now my life's an empty stage
Where honey lived and honey played
And love grew up
And one cloud passes overhead
And cries down the flowerbed
That Honey loved

And see the tree how big it's grown
But friend it hasn't been too long
It wasn't big
And I laughed at her and she'd got mad
The first day that she planted it
Was just a twig

Soooo sad but one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard.

Oops, sorry about that..I've heard very little 80s (only started listening to it last week)...
Can you recommend some good 1980s groups/singers?

Pretty song,Vanessa!

Jimi Hendrix died in 1970. Jim Morisson died in 1971. Janis Joplin died in 1970.
I believe out of those three JH left behind the deepest impact on rock music.
One of the biggest loss to music industry is Bob Marley. How I loved this man and his music!!!!! The 80's started with synthesizer music. I recall Jan Hammer and Harold Faltemeiyer, Falco and Human League etc. Then rock celebrated high times. I love ZZ Top! They are awesome!

Pretty song,Vanessa!

Falco - Amadeus, Jeanny (it's mainly german but he was sooooooo good)
Ultravox - Vienna, Time stood still
Foreigner
Toto (especially Africa)
Feargal Sharkey - You little thief, listen to your father, A good heart (his biggest hit ever)
WHAM
Culture Club (especially the war song and karma chameleon)
Slade - My oh my
Flying Pickets - Only you
I was a teenie during the 80's and I loved the music too. *Sigh* I recall my Michael J Fox days with Axel F playing on the background :D

Thanks,Vanessa...:D

LOL,I finally figured out who he is..I saw an episode of Family Ties the other day..Very funny!:D

During the 80's he was one of the most beloved axctors and he also played in the back to the Future trilogy. he became famous with Family Ties as Alex Keaton. My dad never understood why I loved him so much :D

:p
I had no idea who he was...but my Mom remembered "Family Ties" from when she was little.
Is "Back To the Future" a fun movie?:D

YOU WOULD LOVE IT!!! It is fun! In the first movie Marty mcFly goes back (by accident) to 1955. Yes, it contains a lot of great Rock n Roll music. Even petticoats etc. Marty mcFly accidentally interrupt the meeting of his parents and his future mom falls in love with him instead of his dad :D I think it's one of the most funny trilogies ever made! I highly recommend it and especially the first movie. Marty played a song of Chuck Berry who would later became famous with that song.

Look for the trilogy because when the first movie ends, you have to see the second one. The first one ends with something which will take you to the future of the mcFly's.

Does anyone like The Kignston Trio?I love their music..
Also,any Folk music fans?:D
