"Chilena will tell you." He looked at his sister. "But first, logistics," Alipang added suddenly. "Two cars, two licensed drivers, and a third person still a little ways off from his license, but the two licensed drivers want to be together. I suggest a convoy: take me back to the park, let Mom take charge of Chilena's car as she offered to do earlier, and leave me at the park--that is, if you two want to go elsewhere than the festival. If I have the nerve to go back to the lake, you might as well also."

OOC: Is this still Labor Day weekend?

Chilena put her good arm around Al " We might be there awhile OK Al," she told him, kissing his cheek again " Come my handsome boyfriend of mine lets get you something for getting you license ," she told him.

OOC back: I already told you it is; and you are NOT too late for the lakeside concert.

OOC: Oops! Sorry! I must have not caught that... Sorry again, lol.
@ GV - I thought they're in the men's restroom?

IC: "Sounds like a good idea, Al," Dan smiled. "Can't miss out on the festivities.

OOC: Did I not say restrooms, plural? As in men's AND womens' for Al and Chil respectively? And Hannah, do you mean get Dan a treat at Rafferty's before the three of us return to the lake?

After discussing some with Copperfox, I've decided to make a new character.

Name: Oliver "Ollie" Terry.
Age: 19 (going on 20)
Looks: Pretty tall. Has sideswept hair. Muscular, and tanned, from outdoor activities.
Bio: Oliver went to the high school that Al, Chilena, Dan, Jen, and the rest of the crew go to currently. He used to help coach Jen's lacrosse team, and he is familiar with Jen and her family. He is an active member at St. Timothy's and does a lot of community service. His family moved to California, but he decided to stay back, since he is pursuing a career in photography. (He sometimes gets help from Jen's mother with this). He has been a patient of Dr. Havens (Chilena and Al's adoptive parent) for a long while, and is also familiar with their family.

OOC: OK She still with you guys at the shop

ic: Chilena looked up at her brother then to Dan " Al can you tell him what happen at the park?," she asked, looking down at her arm " or did you all ready?," she asked.

Dr. Eric Havens, accompanied by his wife and their younger daughters, sighted Ollie. "Yo, Ollie! Are you keeping up with flossing? Don't want that cotton candy to take up permanent residence!"

Alipang said to Dan, "Do you see that brace on her left upper arm? That's because she hit that arm hard enough to get a hairline fracture when a bum knocked her down on purpose on the skateboard ramp. Now she says the same jerk had bothered her before, at school. Name's Mac something. Now she's got her own hydrocodone prescription for pain, just like mine. And in case you're wondering, Mr. Kramer arrested Mac for assault."

Ollie laughed. "Hello, Dr. Havens," he said, and smiled when he saw Melody and Harmony. "How are you all doing?"

Dan's eyes widened. "I guess I left at the wrong time?"

ERIC TO OLLIE: "Lots of drama. Just two days ago, Chilena's birth parents, Jack and Kathleen Jakekens, turned up without warning. We found out that our neighbor Grizelda Capshaw knows them, and had kept them informed of Chilena's general progress in life. When they came, they said they wanted to be allowed to spend time with Chilena; we were okay with it--but then they ran off again!"

ALIPANG TO DAN: "Don't feel bad, you couldn't foresee the future. I'm glad you're not sick anymore; and congratulations on getting your license. Was that part of what kept you busy these last few days?"

(Alipang purposely did not tell Dan about Chilena wrecking his weekend by blabbing publicly about his feelings for Kim.)

Ollie shook his head. He had helped out with adopted children before; he knew how curious they all were about their birth parents. "Did Chilena benefit from the trip?" he asked, and hugged Melody.

--
Dan nodded. "Now I can drive myself around. Hey, if you ever need a ride, you can always ask me. Unless you have a chauffer."
