Prince Caspian: Ben Barnes & why is he so old?

if he trys to date Anna, i'm gonna shoot out his knees make him walk a mile then shoot him in the head....i mean he might make a pretty good caspian!!!

(princecaspianwannabe would be better though!)
 
you can die your hair blond!!!duh!lol... but i just hope he has a "good heart" like will...hes really awsome...unlike daniel radcliffe who's full of himself...yeah the next 3 movies will come along pretty qickly...
 
And the actor selected to play Prince Caspian is British actor Ben Barnes!


After a long casting process and in a move that will no doubt surprise many Narnia devotees, director Andrew Adamson has selected the youthful-looking 25 year old (with a playing age as young as 17 years) to play the pivotal Caspian role. In the book, Caspian is a mere 13 years of age.

Although we recently contacted Mr Barnes’ agency, we have not yet received an official announcement. However, The Times has now reported that the actor has dropped his current award-winning theatrical project in London, "The History Boys", in order to accept the Caspian role even at risk of being slapped with a lawsuit. "The History Boys" also sees Barnes playing a schoolboy.

The Times article states that the young actor has a three-film deal to play Caspian. Presumably this means that he will be reprising the role in The Voyage of the Dawn Treader and The Silver Chair, the next two films after Prince Caspian.

He looks younger with the SHORTER hair in my opinion. I just hope if there is a lawsuit, it doesn't delay the movie or bring a bad image to the movies or Walden.
 
WOW He is not just cute, he is Hot.:D I can forsee alot of celeb crushes on Caspian. He looks like he will play the part well too.
 
Just want to point out that if they used a younger actor, He would look weird playing opposite Will, because Will is nearly 20. Peter and Caspian are supposed to the same age. A thirteen year old just would not work in this case, besides I know a thirteen year old boy who look older than Ben Barnes.
 
u guys..we dont know Caspian's age for sure in the book! might he be like 16 or something??? in VOTD, it is 3 Narnian years later, and he seems grown up of course in Dawn Treader.

Caspian is merely 13, as NW says...he would get married at 16???

yeah, since Dawn Treader takes place 3 years later...or would it be normal to be married at that age?

That´s why i think they toke him! I mean, he needs to play a grown up King in the end, so you can´t take a 13 year old kid! A 25 year old guy knows how it is to be 13, but a 13 year old boy doesn´t know how it is to be a grown up. So it´s good they did take him.
