Prince Caspian: Ben Barnes & why is he so old?

All we can do is estimate cause Lewis did not give ages, we only really know That Caspian was about the same age as Peter in PC, and that Peter was the oldest pevensie followed by Susan then Edmund then Lucy who was a year younger than Ed.
 
The only thing I am going to say is that he looks way to old to be playing Caspian--why would someone that old have a Nanny?? OH WELL, just glad they are making the movie.
 
whats wrong with you people?! just because he's not blonde and 20 doesn't mean he can't make an excellent caspian. why would they have chosen him if all they were looking for was looks? im glad they chose him, because that means he's got a good heart, a great charatcer, a love for c.s. lewis, a passion for acting...
 
They're doing VotDT the year after, so he has to be old enough for that. And it's amazing how different they can make people look...he may not look anywhere near as old in the movie as he does in the pics we've got.
 
Ben Barnes. Yes. Well... I imagion young Prince Caspian as darker brown hair, and then VotDT Prince Caspian as lighter blonde. Let's just hope they make him look the part.
 
I'm sure that he'll look the part. It makes it all the easier to make him look older in the next one, anyway. :)
 
Once I got over the initial shock :)eek:) concerning the fact that he's twenty-five and six feet tall... I thought he'd make a pretty good Caspian as far as looks go.
But keep in mind that it's not been confirmed yet that he has indeed gotten the role. He says so, but Disney hasn't.

I always pictured Prince Caspian at 15. But hey, he will fit more into his age during VotDT.

Caspian is merely 13, as NW says...he would get married at 16???

yeah, since Dawn Treader takes place 3 years later...or would it be normal to be married at that age?

Well TrueNarniaFan, Aravis was going to get married off at a young age in HaHB. And of course, the drinking age in Narnia is seemingly non-existent, at least for royalty.

Their dialogue is very flirty, very catty. Susan does not like Caspian’s ego, despite his good intentions and clearly golden heart, but in the end, there winds up being a very flirtatious vibe between the two.
