The Outsiders Fan Club!

i love the Outsiders So much! It is a really good book. I have read it over a dozen times and have seen the movie about twice. sodapop is my favourite character. He is awsome! >_<
 
Yeah, Soda's cool. He used to make me feel all bubbly when I watched the movie, because he smiled so much. His name causes alot of bad puns, though, especially since I never mean it. Once I got home from school, recently after I first read the Outsiders, and I didn't even think before I said, "I need a soda." XD *glances in disgust at nearby pepsi can*

Oh no! My worst nightmare! I hate pictures of the karate kid! Ever since I read and watched the Outsiders and found out that Johnny was played by the guy who plays the karate kid, I was permenently traumatized by any trace of the karate kid! Last time I watched the Outsiders, as soon as there was a close up of Johnny, my sister was like, "HIIIYAAA!". Lol, I could've tossed my soda can at her, but I'm a bad aim and I may have hit the screen. :p (There goes that pun again..)

My favorite characters are Johnny, Dally, and Two-Bit.
I cried when Johnny and Dally died D': She killed two of my favorite characters :( lol
I read the book before I watched the movie. Both were awesome :D
Its kinda weird how Ralph Macchio was one of the oldest actors but one of the younger-looking-ones.

I read on some Outsiders website that Hinton had told Rob Lowe the Sodapop dies in the Vietnam war, and also that Sodapop's girlfriend had left because she was pregnant. Is this true..?

I guess I was just emotional because these were all characters I loved and I finally got to see them before me and it was really Ponyboy. And I had my sister to thank. I got started on the Outsiders because he read it at school and told me about it. A few years later she was going ga-ga over Emilio Estevez, if you want the truth and she got a few group pictures of the Outsiders up so I could memorize names and ways of identifying them. A few days later I borrowed the book. I read it and loved it. Then she got the movie for her bday shortly after and I bugged her until we piled into the living room to watch it. XD
The times I remember being overcome with sudden urge to cry was when Johnny died, when Dally died, when Soda runs out of the house, when Ponyboy runs off, when Johnny kills that ugly soc dude, and, oddly when Ponyboy first came on screen. And it wasn't because I thought he was ugly enough to cry about, lol. Probably because out of all those characters it was Ponyboy I always loved the most, because how can you not love someone who you can identify with so much?
I'm glad most people here on TDL don't mind people showing their feelings...Lol. But it's all true. I practically kicked myself for feeling like crying because EVERYONE was sitting there in the living room and if I cried before anything sad happened, they'd send me to the loony bin. XD
Yeah, my older sis has no reason to say Ponyboy's just a crush cause I always loved him in the book, which I read before I saw the movie. Lol.

What'd you think of the pictures? I still have more to post, it'll just take a minute.

Is it not simply amazing, how convincing it is, despite the copyrights plastered to the top. Though it was taken only as a press shot, which is why this is such a rare specimen! Lol, I sound like I'm trying to sell it...XD

All false. It says in the book why Sandy left and it wasn't becuse she was pregnant. About the whole Vietnam thing I don't know cause they didn't say in the book.
I read the book first, as said in a previous post..:)
I realize now that Pony is the only one not smiling in the previously posted picture...He looks scared. XD

I read that on some Outsiders website. I dunno. :p It kinda shocked me.
