When Gripstone understood what Ninecatcher wanted him to do, he began talking to the humans who had cared for him about how to get to the ocean. He would have asked about getting a wagon ride to the coast, so as to let his body keep on healing while he covered that distance; but any non-intelligent horses or oxen would be too frightened to pull a wagon with him in it.

{ This does not have to be followed step by step; it can just be _understood_ that he eventually reaches the seacoast. }

I apologize for my absence of late.

Lt.Capt. Bryan bushwacked through the dense undergrowth of the forest. It was slow going, and unfortunately, or fortunately, tracks were unavoidable. The night was cold, and he feared for the condition of the fauns, moreso than the dwarves who were of hardier endurance. He called to the Eglamor, "How are you faring with this temperature?" The Faun meekly responded, "It is h-h-hard g-g-going. B-b-but I should b-b-e alright". Noticing the stuttering, Bryan paused, and took his overcoat and tossed it over the Faun so that he may warm himself. He received a grateful look in reply.

As Libertas came closer to Narnia he notived there were less humans and more minotaurs and other devilry in the White Witch's forces. He had almost been caught by a horde of minotaurs two days ago and knew that he had to be more careful. He was now camped on a prepice over a fifty foot cliff watching a stone bridge about half a mile opposite of him. He had been sitting here for a day noticing the various creatures that came across the bridge on either side.
He couldn't decide. Should he go north and help the rebelling Narnians or should he go back south to his home and take care of his ailing mother and lame brother who were staying with a kindly, rich landowner. His mother gave him her blessing and his brother nodded in his direction since he never talked since their father died.
He shivered again as a harsh wind blew into the opening of his tent. The fire in front of him was burning down to ashes and the meager clothing he had barely defended him from the coldness that he experienced.
Libertas yawned. He had to get to sleep if he was going to cross the bridge tommorow. Throwing some dirt on the dying fire he curled up into as warm a ball as possible being pushed to sleep by the wind howling outside his tent.

OOC: This was my first time so please PM me if I did something wrong.

Libertas woke up not knowing what time it was but knowing that it was dark and would be a perfect time to pass into Narnia. Libertas grabbed his meager belongings and put them in his makeshift backpack. He strapped on his rapier and crossbow and climbed down the prepice.
Aboutt ten minutes later he reached the solid stone bridge. It was a small bridge and the whole gorge seemed to center upon it. Libertas slowly advanced across the center not sure how stable it was. He made it about halfway but was stopped by the sound of marching. He peered into the slowly brightening distance and made out the shapes of minotaurs advancing towards the bridge.
Knowing he would be caught if he went back, he decided against everythin his nature told him. Waiting until the minotaurs reached the foot of the bridge and then kneeled down and grabbed the edge of the bridge and slowly lowered himself down hanging from the bridge. He braced himslef, waiting for the monsters to pass by. He heard the stomping feet go past him. His arms were burning and he was losing feeling in one arm. Suddenly a minotaur foot stepped on one his hand and Libertas had to supress his cry of pain and sadness as his arm let go of the bridge.
He waited to see if anything happened above on the bridge but the minotaurs marched by with no stopping. Libertas swung his arm upward to try to catch the bridge but failed twice. He felt his other arm slipping. Looking down into the endless gorge below he shivered with the fear that came with the situation.
Suddenly he let go. Closing his eyes he forgot everything that happened. Suddenly he felt himself airborne for ten seconds. He tried to open his eyes but they were quickly closed by the rushing wind. He was then let down and opened his eyes. To his suprise, he found himself on the Narnian side of the bridge. He had heard of Aslan, but......
He sighed and rightened himself. Looking back at Archenland one last time, he jogged off towards the Southern Marches not knowing what to expect next.

OOC: I'm sorry if I used Aslan wrong.....please PM me if I made a mistake.

OOC: Right. No bringing Aslan OR canon characters in. They will speak for themselves as warranted. Thanks. :P

ooc: We could have Libertas meet up with Marius and myself, as opposed to Ninecatcher, because she is in need of speed. Whatever you would like, maybe you could continue your journey a little longer before..

It was pitch black by the time they decided to take a short rest, and so that the faun may nap. The dwarves were soon snoring as well, Bryan snorted at this. "Some watchmen", He grinned at Marius, but only recieved a unhappy nod in return. "The night is quiet, I do not think anyone has picked up our tracks, nor has anyone been alerted to our presence. Should we change that?" It was an attempt to finally get into some action. Bryan had been itching to feed his sword, and he was tired of running. Marius only grunted and stood apart, thinking, and gazing up at the stars. "It is not yet time to engage the enemy. The stars have not given approval for such an action. We will continue in a few moments time. Rouse those sleeping." Nodding, Bryan prodded the dwarves with his boots, but he gently aroused Eglamor, "It's time".

(Since I named him, I can put one line in his mouth.)

"What have we, Bryan--friends, foes, or FOOD?" asked Eglamor.

ooc: Alright I'll permit it, this once. :D

Bryan looked quizzocally at Eglamor. "We have none of those, we also have a lack of time, which means we are moving now."

ooc: ACK! Sorry guys to have left Marius unresponsive. I've been busy then sick. great post for him Dryad. I didn't even know we we're still posting here. I have sorta expected us to be in the Marches. Hence part of the non posting. Shall resume Marius shortly when en opportunity presents itself. Side note though, Marius isn't a NPC. No worries though.:)

OOC: Note that being in the Southern Marches does not require you to be standing in front of Ninecatcher in your very first post on that thread.

OOC: By the way, this is /classic/ autoplaying. If someone is not around to post for their character, you MUST either reasonably post /around/ them or be patient. You CANNOT determine what reaction Marius has...

ooc: To be fair, Lil Princess (Marius) wasn't attending this thread because she believed we had moved on, if I hadn't spoken for her, then she wouldn't have noticed, and then came back to say lets move to the Marches. Under normal circumstances, I would not have posted for her, but I did so, in a limited way, but in a way that she would approve.

And what I'd prefer, in future, would be that you either PM'd her or left her a profile message instead. You wouldn't enjoy it if someone else posted for your character. Believe me. Besides which, those are the rules of the game.

Exceptions made in extremity have been known to occur without the world ending. I think there could be some prior agreements in this line. But people trying to make it the NORM to meddle or contradict were the reason why I created my satire "Roleplay By Monologues."

Fair enough.

Note

I have have moved to the southern marches with this post:

Marius lead the little band through the snow. He spots them and points them out to the group. "There are the Ninecatcher's prints into the snow." And still they march on. Finally he stops them in the shade of some trees and and a rock outcroping for a morsel and rest.
