Aslan's How is one of the richest chapters in Prince Caspian because it combines a battlefield approach, multiple internal puzzle routes, the White Witch chamber, the Lucy horse section, and the mirrored mechanical logic inside the How itself.

Before you push forward

  • Kill flag-bearers fast on the approach. They are what keep the entrance covered in arrow pressure.
  • Grab loose mechanism pieces immediately. The interior of the How reuses them quickly.
  • Stay alert to path changes. The left, center, and right routes inside the How do not all behave the same way.

Route and objective breakdown

  • On the approach, clear the flag-bearers on both flanks before walking the center. That is what turns the arrow storm off.
  • Inside the How, rebuild the bridges, light the braziers, rotate the portrait pillars correctly, and treat the chambers like puzzle rooms instead of combat corridors.
  • In the White Witch return chamber, focus on the spellcaster with thrown rocks while controlling the werewolf and dwarf pressure just enough to keep the room stable.
  • During the Lucy-and-Aslan route, stay on horseback when the stage wants speed, then solve the upper reflector and prism work in the How floor by floor before you brute-force the top puzzle.
  • When the game pivots from exploration back into boss work, be ready. This whole chapter swings between room logic and battle logic constantly.

Common stuck points

  • Still getting shredded at the entrance? One or more flag-bearers are still active.
  • Bridge or stair sequence not working? You likely left a mechanism piece in a nearby side path.
  • Top reflector puzzle feels wrong? Re-check the lower floors first.

Completion and cleanup notes

Aslan's How is a long chapter, but it stops feeling overstuffed once you realize it is really several clean room problems stitched together. Read each one on its own terms and the whole section becomes far more enjoyable.

Bonus tip

If you are ever annoyed in Aslan's How, ask whether you are treating a puzzle room like a fight room or vice versa. That mix-up is the root of most frustration here.
