Wonderful movie, but I longed for a more intense PG-13 version.
The good-
Casting; the addition of wolf scenes and dialogue were much needed, despite the criticism of some; computer characters were incredible (the beavers were great), humor.
Also, many redemptive layers- sibling relationships, courage, transformation, forgiveness to name a few.
Could have been better-
The final battle scene could have demonstrated the hopelessness and desperation prior to Edmands brave act and the arrival of Aslan and the reinforcements. You didn't get a scope of the great loss in the battle. I wanted to feel almost hopeless, and then have that hopelessness transformed by the roar of a lion... that was a little anticlimatic... also, not much coverage of the stone to life creatures...no more than one second of giant rumblebuffin. Most of my complaints are because of the confines of a PG rating. I just hope they would come out with a PG-13 director cut DVD.
