Well, i saw the film the day it came out over here in London which was a Thursay. And i have to say that i'm happy i did.
The film makers got it right this time. The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe is fianlly what it's meant to be.
The characters, were WELL in character. And though the film revolves around the theme of war and mythology, the film makers didn't allow this motion picture to take a trip down grim lane. There were funny parts to this film in all the right places.
Although some parts of what happens in the book are altered to suit cinema needs, the film sticks directly to the story line, and is very true to the book. No one would have to bother themselves over reading it, because all is well and covered.
Some of the special effects i would have to say went a bit weird on some parts of the film, but i must add that that did nothing to the storyline or make me not want to watch it.
The childrens performances covered over all the small hiccoughs the film delivered.
Personally, for me the best performance was from that of the White Witch, she was perfect. Exactly how C.S.Lewis described. Running up at a close second and third would be Mr Tumnus and Edmund played by Skandar Keynes.
