Waiting for the past 22 years was not easy. The expectations I harbored after reading LWW were so lofty, they bordered on the unrealistic. How could the film POSSIBLY meet these towering prospects? I don't know how...but it did.

Being a nit-picker by nature, especially when deconstructing Hollywood, I was just waiting for the moment when I would get upset - as usual - for the gross error(s). The best I could come up with is that there was no mention of the Emperor Beyond the Sea. Considering that is really just an aside in the book, it's really not even worth mentioning as a "flaw".

The special effects were fabulous. There were a few moments where they could have been better, but overall (like Revenge of the Sith) the good far outweighed the bad. And in fact they became downright spectacular during the battle sequences and the scenes at Cair Paravel.

Considering the film faithfully adapted the incredibly powerful story, brought to life the grand images and deep emotions contained therein
and didn't collapse under the immense weight of my expectations, it must simply be seen to be believed.

The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe is a complete triumph. See it with your ENTIRE family.
