Review by Jessica: LOTR & Narnia Lover
This movie is amazing, I really love the special effects and the computer generated charicters. All my friend really enjoy this movie (except for one family with a younger child) everyone has loved it. I have not heard one bad word against it, except from my father who like more battles from the LOTR Movies. I strongly advise anyone (over 5) to go see The Chrolicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe.
The battle screens are extrordinary. Thank you Walden Peoductions. Though they extend the book, at this point they do a good job. There are a few scens that lose their importance such as when Father Christmas gives the gifts he tells them war is ugly in a confusing way, instead of telling the girls to stay out of the war. Which is in my mind an important aspect and is not dated.
For the most part they stay well within the boundaries of the book. They still portray the Christian morals and virtues origianally intended by C.S. Lewis. (Hurray for Disney!!! I think this is the most important issue whether Disney was willing to do this or not!) Like life, death, and resurrection issues.
In all they did a great job of making a motion picture both competitive in Hollywood and in staying true to the book.
