When I first saw this movie it didn't look like much, and I had read the book a few years before seeing it... then I went to see it again, and... you know how you have to sometimes see something more than once to get it hammered into your brain? Same way with Narnia. It really made more sense and I became rather attracted towards the series again. I'm now reading the books; I encourage you to watch the movie again after reading them (as I shall do), it will help to understand the movie better.
Of course there were some small things that (after reading the book) that I couldn't help but point out that are different, such as

little things like when Aslan said "I too want my family safe" when He doesn't even make a notice of a family in the books. Of course some may say that His family is everyone but Peter was discussing his immediate family when Aslan popped that comment out.
There were a few other things, such as the river scene with the wolves that made no sense and were not in the book as with the fox. The fox wasn't in LWW at all I believe; and the Beavers weren't nearly as funny as they are in the movie; but what movie is as good as the book anyway?

Overall, best movie I've seen in '05, besides RotS. Close second there.
