If I had to sum up my feelings for Narnia in one word, I think it would be this: truly amazing. No, wait. That's two. But honestly, even those don't begin to cover it.

Like many fans, I have been completely in love with the Chronicles ever since I was little. I've read them more times that I can count, and they have never "gotten old," as many books do over time. All this to say, I had my standards set as high as I could for this film -- I was not going to take anything less than perfect. And that's exactly what it is. The movie follows the book almost to the letter, with only a very few minor bits removed here and there. A couple scenes, like the final battle, are expanded upon; and, in my humble opinion, the movie would have been much less satisfying had it not added the expansions. The acting is superb (Georgie's Lucie is just wonderful, and exactly as the book portrays her), the score is excellent (definitely up for an Oscar, or at least a nomination), and Aslan... Oh, Aslan. I think he must be the character most of us book-lovers were anticipating the most. I know my stomach was in knots a second before he made his entrance. But he is just, for lack of a less-used word, perfect; he truly exudes the line said near the end of the film (and thank goodness it was included!), "He's not a tame lion." "No... But he is good."

I could go on forever about how wonderful this film is, but I would much rather have you go find out for yourself. Because, just like the book, this movie is fast becoming one of the most fantastic films of our time.
