I think that the movie "The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe" was terrific! I had finished reading the book not too long before seeing the movie. As I watched the movie, I remembered the part of the book it was in. The movie was almost just like the book.
I later got a behind the scenes book. It was very interesting how they did things and the things that went on behind the scenes. Not everyone would think that Tilda Swinton held BBQs every once in a while!
After reading the behind the scenes book and seeing the movie again, I could tell how they did the special effects, but you wouldn't be able to tell that they used special effects at all! You can't even tell how they made the centaurs which must have been at least partially hard to cover according to what I read.
The things they used animatronics on were the things that you wondered about. Even though Minotaurs are partially makeup, they are mostly animatronic, and you can't even tell!
The acting was terrific! It was almost as if it had really happened and someone (or something) had caught it all on tape.
Of all the really good movies I've seen, this one was the best. It was absolutely terrific!!!
