The movie of The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe was visually beautiful and followed the storyline of the book more or less faithfully. The interaction between real and computer-generated characters seemed believable for the most part.
Some of the added scenes helped in the telling of the film such as the opening scene of fighter planes in battle. However the icy river scene seemed unnecessary.
In spots, this movie reminded me of the movie version of Nesbit's "Five Children and It" more than the book on which it was based.
The creators of the film did a good job not overdoing the Christian aspect of the book.
Had I not had my own movie version playing in my head these past 35 years the film might have "blown me away". As it was, I'm glad I saw it, will see it again and purchase the DVD, but will not put it on my list of top 100 films.
