It has been about 55 years since C.S. Lewis gave us the image of a lovable fawn carrying several yellow packages and an umbrella, the first of many wonderous mythological creatures in the world of Narnia. Since then millions of people worldwide have followed the tale of the Pevensie children, as they enter Narnia as strangers and leave as heroes. Now, 55 years later, the wardrobe has been opened once again thanks to Walt Disney and Walden Media, as The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch And The Wardrobe hits the silver screen.

I'll admit, it has been a while since I've read The Lion The Witch And The Wardrobe. In fact, it's been so long that I've actually forgotten the story. That was until this movie came out. I can honestly say that I've never liked a story as much as this, even surpassing The Lord of The Rings and Harry Potter.

Andrew Adamson's direction on the film couldn't have been better. Seeing as how I've forgotten the original story, I can't really say how accurate the movie portrays the book. However, judging by various critics and reviews, the movie is as close to the book as it possibly can be, which in this day and age is quite rare. I can only hope that Adamson continues his work on the Chronicles of Narnia, as his direction is what really brought the world of Narnia to life. Peter Jackson has The Lord Of The Rings, Andrew Adamson has The Chronicles Of Narnia.

The acting in the movie is beyond excellent. William Moseley (Peter), Anna Popplewell (Susan), Skandar Keynes (Edmund) and Georgie Henley (Lucy) really portray the Pevensie children perfectly. They all portray their character's personalities flawlessly (Peter being the leader, Susan being the smartest out of the group, Edmund being the troublemaker and Lucy being the most adventurous), giving life to characters we have fallen in love with so many years ago. Watch out for these guys in the future, because they may be the next big thing in Hollywood.

Tilda Swinton (whom played Gabriel in Constantine)also did a magnificent job in playing the White Witch. After watching her performance in this movie, I can honestly say that no one could have played the part better. She's evil, she's sadistic, and she's brilliant. Liam Neeson (whom played Qui-Gon Jinn in the Phantom Menace) plays the voice of Aslan, the noble, regal rightful King of Narnia. His performance, like all the other actors and actresses in this movie, is nothing short of spectacular. His voice really captures the true image of Aslan, and I doubt anyone else could have done a better job.

Visually this movie is breath-taking. From the vast landscapes to the life-like creatures, this movie is extremely pleasing to the eye. I was simply blown away at the attention to detail on the creatures themselves. Although animated, it's almost as if the creatures really do exist, and that's something particularly hard to pull off even with today's technology. But it's not just the special effects that give life to Narnia. The costume design, make-up and sets work really well together to bring the whole experience together.

One last thing I want to talk about is the music. By far The Chronicles of Narnia has some of the best musical scores I've heard in a while. Every score suits the scene it's used in, from the Pevensie children walking across the snow to the great battle. If you haven't got the album, I highly suggest you get it because you won't be disappointed.

Overall, The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch And The Wardrobe is a must see. Everything about this movie seems almost flawless to me, from the acting to the special effects. Without a doubt this movie is worth watching more than once. I should know, I've seen it 3 times already and I'm still not sick of it. If you haven't seen it yet, do so now! It definitely will not disappoint you.
