There are alot of people these days who think that they are the #1 Narnia fan but most of them are really just cought up in the moment.(that or obssesed with Will or Skandar) I on the other hand have been a life long fan. Ever since I was really little, my dream was to be able to jump inside the book and become one of the Pevensies and have there adventures. I would wonder if there were other worlds (and I must admit that I still do) and imagine what it would be like to get into one of them.

I didn't here about the movie until a few months before it came out and I can't tell you how exited and nervous I was. I was so afraid that the actors would be all wrong and that Aslan wouldn't be magnificent enough etc. I tried to prepare myself for the worst. Well, it didn't work. I was still just as exited, and I couldn't help getting my hopes up.

We went to see the movie the day after it came out. There wasn't really anyone who I could share my worries with because no one else in my family cared about the story as much as I did.

When it started I thought it was still the previews. It hadn't occured to me that they would do a blitz scene, but when I figured out what it was, that was when it started gaining pionts. It was a perfect way to start the movie!

I will admit that at first I was disappointed with Susan but that eventually wore off. A for the rest of the actors, they really did a good job. Peter(Will) was a very believable big brother and Lucy (Georgie) is very good at crying. I especially apreciated the background they give us for Edmund's snobbishness. In the BBC version, he is too mean to even seam related to his seemingly angelic sisters.

Wintertime in Narnia exceeded my expectations! It truly seemed like a country in and of itself.

All in all I loved the movie and could go on and on about things that were just perfect,but as a TRUE Narnia fan it is impossible to be PERFECTLY satisfied. I don't think that you can read the books, become a devoted fan, and think the movie was perfect.

I know that some people disspute this but i believe they could have picked a better voice for Aslan. Liam has a low voice but tht is about it. Where is the power? More importantly his voice demands no respect, at least not mine.He doesn't sound like a Lion to me at all.

Another thing to do with Aslan is this. The part where he is walking with Susan and Lucy to the stone table, the girls begin to stroke his mane. Not a big dealt if you havn't read the book, if you have you'll realize that it specifically says that that was something they never would have done without his permission. In the book he gives them permission. Thhis is just another thing that takes away from Aslan's magesticness.

I could also (as a true fan of the book) go on and on about the things that were done wrong but I will end the review with just this: read the book if you really loved the story. It may not thrill in the same way but it will help you understand the movie better.
