I first read these books when I was in the 5th grade. As a christian at a very young age, it was remarkable how I could actually understand what C.S. Lewis was trying to say. I waited for a long time to see this made into a live action picture. As I entered that theatre at the midnight show and saw that movie title come on for the first time, I felt my throat tighten and my heart race as my mind entered that beloved world once again. And as Lucy went through that wardrobe and saw Narnia for the first time, I had the smallest tear roll down my cheek and the biggest smile on my face. It was just like I had pictured it in my head as a child in class. And being able to actually see Aslan's face anticipate that dagger coming down on him, tore my heart in two. The ending was superb, the battle scene flawless. I had nothing but goosebumps when the professor spoke those two words at the end, "Try me". No words could express how wonderful and dear that series of books is to me. That movie could not have been done any better. The filmmakers did their job transporting their audience into that magical land. I saw that movie 3 times in the theatre and I got goosebumps every... single... time.
