A few weeks after the much anticipated Narnia movie's release, I finally got the chance to see it.
The story is set in WWII where four children are sent to live with a wealthy professor at his home in the country to protect them from the air raids. One rainy day, the youngest of the siblings, Lucy suggests a game of hide-and-seek. She discovers a magical wardrobe to the mystical land of Narnia. She tries to talk to her siblings about it, but they don't believe her. One night, she tries to enter the wardrobe again. This time, her next oldest brother Edmund goes too. Lucy meets up with a new friend she has met, but Edmund meets up with the imposter ruler of Narnia, the White Witch, Jadis. Edmund backs down that he was just playing along when his older siblings question him. It isn't long, and all four siblings are in Narnia. Edmund betrays his siblings to Jadis and the other three are told that the only way to help their brother is to go to Aslan, the Real King of Narnia. They are able to assist his help in rescuing Edmund from the White Witch's grip. But the price is high. The Witch strides into Aslan's camp as though she owns it and demands Edmund's blood. Aslan flatly refuses and insists on talking with the Witch alone. They make a deal. Aslan will die in Edmund's place. The next day is a war. Will Aslan's forces (without their leader) be able to overcome the White Witch's forces and free Narnia?
