When I walked into the theater to watch this movie, I had no idea of what to expect. I had only seen a bit of the trailer, so I knew the movie would probably be good and stay true to the originality of the book. I did not really expect it to be THIS GOOD. From the first scene to the tag ending during the credits, I felt like I was reading the book. The emotions that were displayed, the scenery that was portrayed, and the build-up of the characters just astounded me. I felt connected to the four Pevensies right away and felt like I was being thrust into the same situation along with them. When they got into Narnia I truly felt like I was there and that it looked like Narnia should: real, beautiful, and mysterious. There were certain changes made to the storyline, most of which I thought actually helped move the story along and made you connect with the characters more. And even though it changed some circumstances of the story, it still felt like it was a part of the original even though they were different. The White Witch was perfect, her castle and statues were very believable, and Ginnabrik was perfect in his role.
You also felt afraid of her in a way because she is so cold-blooded. When she stabs Edmund, all her immdediate surprise is gone. Her eyes say, " You? Who needs you anymore? Get out of my way!"
Also, she has no mercy in battle. She strikes to kill or to prepare for a kill.

Aslan was just awesome. Liam Neeson did a wonderful job playing his voice. Aslan's sacrifice on the Stone Table was (and is) the perfect allegory of Jesus' sacrifice on the cross, and adding "It is finished," was just so cool! The Narnians and White Witch's follwers were wonderfully depicted, just as I would've imagined them to look like, and that made the battle what should be like: big, awesome, epic, and REALLY COOL! The additons of the gryphons and cyclops to the mix just heightened the rush of the battle, every part of the Narnian's plan made perfect sense, and Peter vs. Jadis was AWESOME! Then of course Aslan comes and rescues Peter, the statues are revived and do what they've been waiting to do for a hundred years, and four siblings are all reconciled, happy together, and made rulers of Narnia. The four Pevensies were all perfectly casted. They interacted well and fit their parts to the letter, but I'm afraid Susan did not quite have enough time to grow and be seen coming to believe in Narnia and perhaps accepting what has gone on soon enough. Even after Father Christmas she is still fighting everything. But other than that everything was just great. I LOVED the music. It helped you feel the right emotions at the perfect times, and gave you that adrenaline rush during the battle. I really can't wait for Prince Caspian to come out. Seeing the Trees in action will be very cool.
