This film adaption of The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe is the best so far. When I heard a modern film version was going to be made, I was dubious as to whether a major motion picture studio could be trusted to bring to life such a well-known and loved story. It turns out I needn't have worried. The filming, directing, and acting is superb, and I cannot think of a single actor who was unsuited for their role in the film. The only reason I won't give five shields to the screenplay is that I must judge it against the book, and no screenwriter, no matter how gifted, can ever equal C.S. Lewis. This screenplay, however, comes closer to being perfect than I could have ever dreamed of. Three cheers to Doug Gresham, Andrew Adamson, and Walden Media for faithfully bringing to life this paramount of fantasy literature.
