One word. Brilliance. Andrew Adamson could not have done a better job in creating C.S. Lewis's magical world of Narnia and bringing it to life. Credit should also be given to the actors who took a part in movie, especially William Mosely, Liam Neeson, and Tilda Swinton, who I thought did an astonishing job. Re-reading the book after viewing this movie was nearly impossible because my imagination could not keep up with how Andrew Adamson delivered this film. I am anxious to see how his work on Prince Caspian will reflect C.S. Lewis's work. If it is anything like this movie, it will be worthwhile.
