Review by Carmen

4.7 / 5

After watching this movie about a year ago, it became my favorite movie. This movie definitely brought the book more to life for me. Even though there were some additional scenes that were not in the book, the movie followed the book for the most part, which doesn't happen very often with books and movies anymore. All the special effects that were included were excellent as well. They were so good that Aslan actually looked like a real lion to me. His facial expressions that made his face look gentle made me think even more about how God is like that. The thing I like most about this movie is the fact that it is a metaphor of Christ's death and resurrection, which makes it very meaningful for me. The casting of this movie was also great. William Moseley, Anna Popplewell, Skandar Keynes, and Georgie Henley were all very great actors in the movie and portrayed the four kids very well. The other people included in the cast were also good, especially Tilda Swinton and James McAvoy. Another thing that I really liked liked about Chronicles of Narnia was the soundtrack. All the music was so cool! The music beautifully fit at all the right places, creating the right mood. I especially liked the battle song and the opening song. The scenery was also very pretty in New Zealand and the many places it was filmed. As you can see I really like this movie and recommend it anyone who hasn't watched it yet. I can't wait until they release the next two movies!
