I was very excited when I heard that Narnia was coming out again (again because BBC had already done a version). I was really excited to find out that Weta Workshop was doing that costumes and speacial effects.
However, my excitment dropped when I finally saw the movie. I am a stickler for following the stoyline of the book, not to a "T", but at least very close. The scene that bugs me the most is the frozen river scene. THAT SCENE NEVER HAPPENS IN THE BOOK! THERE IS NOT EVEN A MENTION OF IT! Everything else I can handle fairly well, except Peter is not supposed to be insecure and Susan is too much of a jerk for my taste.
With all of that said, I must also say that I did buy the speacial edition DVD and I still like the movie as a whole. I just hope that they do a better job with Caspian, and I really hope that they do all seven of the books eventually.
