I have always loved the books and when I heard about a year in advance that there was a new movie coming out I was happy but hoped so much it would be the book all over again. When the time came to watch it I went into the theater expecting to see the old Narnia film, therefore I was not entirely pleased with the movie. I did like it, but it wasn't BBC. 6 days later my older sister took me out to see it again, this time I went in watching the movie, not looking for hints of the old one, and was surprised to find that it was actually closer to the book than the BBC version. Since then I have been in love with that movie, the soundtrack and everything having to do with it. The acting performances were excellent, and the effects were amazing, and the music brought every scene more to life, especially when Aslan appears for the very first time, at that scene I got goosebumps I was so excited! That day has always remained very special, as has this movie.
