First of all, I just want to say that the movie was fantastic! When I walked into the movie theater, all I could think was, "Gee, I hope they don't mess it up like they did on the old ones." But they didn't! In fact, it was all I wanted and more. I thought the casting was phenomenal. Every actor portrayed the character exactly right, and the screenplay was true to the books, except for one scene, and that was a good addition. The only complaint I might have are the special effects. No matter how good they are, talking animals will not look right, because animals don't really talk! The Blitz scene at the beginning of the film was my favorite part, because it was true to history. The pilots were even speaking German. The humor was not scant, nor overpowering, nor trying to be funny when it just isn't. And the powerful deep parts were wonderful as well. I think it is a great movie for all ages, and it is worth your money to rent or buy it.
