I thought this film adaptation was excellent. Unlike other epic fanatasy films, Adamson really did Lewis' masterpiece justice. The casting was great. The newcomer's did a pretty good job as the Pevensie children, especially Georgie Henley, who I thought delivered the best performance out of all the children. Tilda Swinton was cast perfectly. She is a phenomenal actress and she did a wonderful job in the role of Jadis.
The screenplay was well written, the soundtrack is gorgeous, and the overall flow of the film was effectual. I appreciate that Adamson paid attention to detail and was careful not to rely too heavily on CG, mixing it with real effects as well so as not to take away from the film's depth. It rates up there with epics like Lord of the Rings, and far surpasses films like Harry Potter and Golden Compass.
