NarniaFans Moderator ~Rogue~ has been in touch with Pippa Hall, who did the casting on The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, for some time now. Pippa Hall has just been attached to Prince Caspian and has announced that casting for Caspian will not happen until later in the year. Also, the role of Caspian himself has not yet been cast.

Now, this is a HUGE Rumor. Nothing confirmed about it at all as of yet, but it would add another big name to the production of Narnia. It seems someone involved in the production is spreading a rumor that Sean Connery wishes to lend his voice to Aslan, after turning down both The Lord of the Rings and The Matrix.

Paromila tells us that several short Indian actors have been cast by Indian based casting director Sameer Bhardwaj for LWW.

Bhardwaj had earlier also helped in casting for Lord of the Rings. The role of these actors is currently unknown, although speculation would lead us to believe that it is for many of the Talking Beast roles in the Chronicles of Narnia.

The NZ Dominion Post reported it a few days ago and we’ve been able to confirm that Jim Broadbent will indeed play the role of the professor in the Narnia film.

The actors are: Georgie Henley, 9, from London, who plays the lead character Lucy; Skandar Keynes, 12, also from London, who plays Edmund; Anna Popplewell, 15, from West Yorkshire, who plays Susan; and William Moseley, 17, from Gloucestershire, who plays the eldest brother Peter.

We finally know the role that James Cosmo has been cast in. We’ve known since June 21 that he was cast in the Chronicles. We finally have confirmation of the role.

Colourful British actor Rupert Everett will be the voice of the Fox, one of the CGI-animated characters in the story. Everett’s dulcet tones can, of course, already be heard as the voice of Prince Charming in Adamson’s Shrek 2.

Cosmo, who is going to New Zealand next month to star in The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe, said that Scottish film-making was doing fantastically well.
