It’s confirmed that one of the Hobbits out of the four from India was severly injured during the LWW shoot in New Zealand. “Swamy,” the short actor from India, sustained a severe injury on his foot and was operated in NZ. Though he has been sent back to India he still can’t resume normal work.

In a pre-CES press release, Disney has unveiled their expected upcoming Blu-ray releases through the summer. While the list is by no means complete, it does give us a good indication of what to look for in the coming months.

The panel featured Howard Berger (the B of KNB EFX), Dean Wright (visual effects designer), Richard Taylor and Ben Wootten (Weta peeps) live and in person and later featured director Andrew Adamson and all four of the kids from the movie via satellite. They were in London doing ADR (Addition Dialog Recording) for the film, but took the time to sit in on the panel discussion.
