First Dawn Treader Screening in LA Next Week [Updated]

From the Official Tony Nixon page on Facebook comes word of a screening of the first official cut of the film. This is a cut that will feature whatever effects have been finished thus far, with mostly unfinished shots. Plus they add a temp score, usually with music that captures the emotion that the creators are going for. In this case, there have been two prior movies, so they may use cuts from those films to score it, but all of that will be replaced by a freshly written score sometime this summer/fall, usually after the final cut is locked.

Fresh from the source people some very exciting news: VDT will definitely be in 3D and the first official cut will be viewed in LA next week! Getting close now!!

There is no word on whom the “source” is, but it’s not Tony Nixon himself, but someone highly trusted who is in the know.. As for who will be in attendance at the screening, good question. It is likely to be an industry screening. I’m e-mailing my sources to see if anyone knows anything about this screening.

Second Update: I have just heard back from a source close to the production. He has simply informed me that “there is no screening scheduled for next week.” That was all that he said.

Seeing as they’re working constantly on the film, to meet deadlines, it makes sense that there wouldn’t be one so early.
