The Matthew of Bristol becomes The Dawn Treader again for London Promo

Last year, I had the opportunity of sailing around Cornwall on board The Matthew of Bristol, which they had turned into a copy of The Dawn Treader.  They had used the actual film blueprints to recreate the dragon’s head and tail for the ship (although smaller versions to fit the ship).

I received word about a month or two ago that they were planning on turning the Matthew into The Dawn Treader once again, and bringing it up to London.

The copy of the mythical Dawn Treader sailed into London’s St Katherine’s Dock on Monday, with large numbers watching from dry land.  Complete with a dragon head bow and tail of a dragon as a stern, the replica is 78ft long, with a beam of more than 20ft.

One of my sources, Agent X, sent me the following: Today on the ship, there was sword fighting, rigging climbing and other such fun to entertain the journalists while Eustace and Caspian gave interviews down below in the galley.  Tomorrow, it becomes The Matthew once again, and the Dragon head and tail wind up wherever.  Any ideas where they should go?

This is part of the promotion of the DVD and Blu-ray release of The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader which is coming next month.

i think this entire idea of a Dawn Treader “replica” ship is awesome. So original and fun, and totally in sync with the film! 😀 My only disappointment is that anyone outside of the U.K. won’t get to see it live. Still awesome idea!

Why Peter Jacson dont direct the Narnia movies?.
Would be successful. All these, I also think that “Bryan Fuller” would be extraordinary writer because the work he did in “Heroes Volume 1” was wonderful.

Does anyone know who started the website “Aslan’s Country?” it’s a really neat site…but I find this a bit disturbing. Just wanted to ask who started it so that I could ask them a few questions about it.
