The New York Public Library has released a list of 100 great children’s books that was compiled by their children’s librarians. Appearing on that list are both C.S. Lewis’ The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe and his friend J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Hobbit. Also appearing on the list is Lois Lowry’s The Giver, which will be a feature film from Walden Media next summer.

perhaps Anne of Green Gables books are missing
